Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Film)

Recommended Posts

Fans watched the filming of a stunt from the "Seven Potters" chapter of Deathly Hallows. Hagrid's stunt double (wearing a big coat and goggles) drove a motorcycle, weaving in and out of traffic. Meanwhile, Harry's stunt double (wearing a grey hoodie, and complete with burning scar) rode in the sidecar and brandished his wand to shoot a spell at someone chasing them.

Over the past 3 weeks I?ve been on a Harry Potter marathon and have read all 7 Harry Potter books, so expect to hear a lot about the Deathly Hallows movies over the next two years on Filmonic. Today?s Potter news involves the split between Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II. A few months ago director David Yates said they have ?three or four different ideas? where to end the first film, and that it will most likely be a cliffhanger. Well Joshua Herdman, who plays Darco Malfoy?s tag-along Goyle, has let slip where the break will occur. As the book has been out for a few years and you can read what happens on Wikipedia it?s not really a spoiler, however if you don?t want to know how the first film ends I suggest you stop reading no

According to Herdman, part one of ?Deathly Hallows? will close right after Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson) are captured by the Snatchers. Part two will open as the trio and their captors arrive at Malfoy Manor. So that?s that.

Herdman also confirmed ? and here?s that aforementioned SPOILER ? that his character will be the Slytherin henchman who dies, not Crabbe (played by Jamie Waylett), as it is written in the book. MuggleNet states that the change came after Waylett was arrested and convicted of cannabis possession, and that he is not expected to have a part in ?Deathly Hallows.? in ?Deathly Hallows.?

Having finished the book a few days ago I think this would be a good place to end Part I. There were a few other places where I could image the break occurring such as SPOILERS Dobby?s death, or when they escape from Malfoy Manor, or even half way through Hermione getting tortured. If they stick with this Snatcher plan than that means Part II is going to be epic from the start all the way to the end. I can?t wait.

Several weeks ago, sites around the internet began picking up a rumor that Dan Radcliffe would bare all for the "The Silver Doe" chapter in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Now, confirmation comes from a new interview with director David Yates on VideoBusiness.com:

Besides detailing Half-Blood Prince, Yates and others also offered some surprising sneak peeks to the final two theatrical installments of the Harry Potter franchise, slated for 2010 and 2011 release. At certain points, Radcliffe will appear naked.

In one scene, ?a horcrux [carrying a piece of Voldemort?s soul] defends itself by producing nightmarish visions, and one shows Hermione and Harry embracing and kissing,? explained Y?It?s something intriguing and sensual for Rupert to react to, and Dan will be bare for that.?that.?

The article also includes comments similar to our earlier story where the cast and crew comment on the new Half-Blood Prince DVD and SS/COS Ultimate Editions. Heyman in particular noted that the Half-Blood Prince DVD has more extras than past Potter films. On lack of features in the past,"There was a part of me that doesn?t like extras, because I like the mystery of it all. But with the market being the way it is, it?s important to make the title as attractive a proposition as possible."ossible."

wh:rofl:emma naked?

On Evanna Lynch, I have to agree, I also find her oddly attractive... :shifty: but nothing, and I mean nothing beats Emma Watson and as LOC says, now she's older I don't feel so guilty anymore... (bad Rakky, bad Rakky)

:D

I got so angry by the fifth and sixth disaster they called OOTP & HBP that I don't have any hopes for these. The first 4 movies were tolerable, 4th being the best. The soundtrack is the worst in the 5th and 6th too! 5th is like Windows Me and 6th like Vista. Hope 7th is at least as good as Windows 7.

Btw this thread needs cleanup.

    • Well, it's good to know that they have found a workaround to a problem that they helped create, I guess...
    • Meta is reusing old DDR4 RAM in its servers instead of buying new hardware by Ivan Jenic Image: Meta The global hardware shortage isn’t exactly news, as the entire world has been struggling with rising component prices for quite some time now. And while big companies certainly aren’t as affected as the average consumer, even they aren’t opposed to the idea of saving a few (million) bucks. Meta appears to have found a way to spend less on new hardware while also putting its outdated infrastructure to use, essentially killing two birds with one stone. The company has built a custom chip that lets it reuse memory from retired servers rather than buying new hardware. The chip is called Vistara and allows for connecting old DDR4 RAM from obsolete servers into new servers that rely on DDR5. The problem Vistara solves goes back to a basic mismatch in how long hardware lasts. Meta replaces its servers every three to five years, but the memory modules inside them are good for seven to ten. When a server gets decommissioned, perfectly usable DDR4 RAM goes with it. Meta is presenting the new method at today’s ISCA symposium, but The Register has got hold of a paper that explains how Vistara works. It's a custom ASIC that bridges DDR4 memory to newer processors via aCXL 2.0/1.1 interface over PCIe Gen5 x16. Meta pulls DDR4 sticks from old machines and installs them in dedicated units it calls MemServers, each of which pairs 768GB of DDR5 with 256GB of recovered DDR4. The operating system sees the DDR4 as an additional memory node and draws from it when the primary DDR5 is running low. Off-the-shelf CXL hardware couldn't do this, so Meta built its own. Existing interfaces bundle their own memory with the controller, which makes reusing old RAM sticks impossible. But Vistara separates the controller from the memory entirely, so Meta can plug in whatever DDR4 sticks it has on hand. Meta plans to deploy the new architecture in hyperscale infrastructure with millions of servers, which should mean that Meta’s AI datacenters will now be more efficient. The company is investing heavily in AI infrastructure, especially with its new AI model, Muse Spark, now widely available. All of this doesn't mean that Meta will exclusively rely on "recycled" RAM, but the company is still looking at considerable savings at scale.

    • I like Tidal, but it still does not control devices from the mobile/app and still no surround support. And yeah re: above comment I still get a lot of network errors and I am on a 4/4 Gbit Fiber connection.
