Recommended Posts

Hello and welcome to round two of 'Guess the Result'.

The idea: Guess which 8 drivers will finish in the points at the next Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The rules: You have from today, Monday March 30th until Thursday, April 2nd, 23:59 GMT to pick your top 8. All guesses made after the deadline will be discarded. Points are awarded as follows:

  • Driver correctly guessed - 1 point
  • Driver and position correctly guessed - 3 points
  • All 8 drivers correctly guessed, order incorrect - 10 bonus points
  • All 8 drivers guessed in the correct order - 20 bonus points

You are free to modify your guess until the Thursday, 23:59 GMT deadline.

The standings after round one are:

  1. Mephistopheles - 9 points
  2. Shibby - 8 points
  3. Martyn - 7 points
  4. sundayx - 6 points
  5. HiroProtagonist1984 - 4 points
  6. Popcorned1 - 4 points
  7. mclaren2 - 4 points
  8. brentaal - 3 points
  9. Fourjays - 2 points
  10. .mcman - 1 point

My guess for the Malaysian GP:

  1. Jenson Button - Brawn Mercedes
  2. Rubens Barichello - Brawn Mercedes
  3. Kimi R?ikk?nen - Ferrari
  4. Robert Kubica - BMW-Sauber
  5. Sebastian Vettel - Red Bull-Renault
  6. Nico Rosberg - Williams-Toyota
  7. Timo Glock - Toyota
  8. Fernando Alonso - Renault

Edited by Mephistopheles

  1. Jenson Button - Brawn Mercedes
  2. Sebastian Vettel - Red Bull Racing
  3. Rubens Barrichello - Brawn Mercedes
  4. Felipe Massa - Ferrari
  5. Robert Kubica - BMW Sauber
  6. Nico Rosberg - Williams Toyota
  7. Timo Glock - Toyota
  8. Lewis Hamilton - McLaren Mercedes

So will the points be changed when Brawn are excluded from the first two races? ;)

The problem'll be, that regardless of the decision, there'll probably be appeals, especially if the other teams aren't able to up their performance significantly by then.

  1. Jenson Button - Brawn Mercedes
  2. Felipe Massa - Ferrari
  3. Lewis Hamilton - McLaren Mercedes
  4. Rubens Barrichello - Brawn Mercedes
  5. Fernando Alonso - Renault
  6. Nico Rosberg - Williams Toyota
  7. Jarno Trulli - Toyota
  8. Robert Kubica - BMW Sauber

I doubt Button is going to win again but it's hard not to put him up top.

1: Jenson Button - Brawn GP

2: Lewis Hamilton - McLaren

3: Rubens Barrichello - Brawn GP

4: Kimi R?ikk?nen - Ferrari

5: Jarno Trulli - Toyota

6: Fernando Alonso - Renault

7: Sebastian Vettel - Red Bull

8: Felipe Massa - Ferrari

Good guess i reckon ;:p:p

@sundayx : Yea, its unlikely he will win but it's hard not too since Brawn did a great performance

Malaysia 2009:

1: Jenson Button - Brawn-Mercedes

2: Robert Kubica - BMW Sauber

3: Jarno Trulli - Toyota

4: Lewis Hamilton - McLaren Mercedes

5: Rubens Barrichello - Brawn-Mercedes

6: Nico Rosberg - Williams-Toyota

7: Sebastian Vettel - RBR-Renault

8: Fernando Alonso - Renault

1. felipe massa - ferrari

2. jenson button - brawn gp

3. rubens barrichello - brawn gp

4. nico rosberg - williams

5. lewis hamilton - mclaren mercedes

6. robert kubica - bmw

7. kimi raikkonen - ferrari

8. fernando alonso - renault

My guess would be along the lines of

1: Button

2: Barrichello

3: Trulli

4: Kubica

5: Vettle

6: Massa

7: Raikkonen

8: Alonso

Based on the fact that Barrichello has to take a 5 place gearbox related drop, I am going to revise my estimate

1: Button

2: Trulli

3: Barrichello

4: Kubica

5: Vettle

6: Massa

7: Raikkonen

8: Alonso

these are the results that i got. for the official results please wait for the OP.

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
