Posting for character list. - my DK is my Forum name "Alladaskill" just to keep things simple. I created her to run guildies through and cuz I dont have a single DK or female lol I will level & run guildies through low level Azeroth content once this week is over ( hectic @ school ).

Working on setting up the dual boxing macros for my shamans, but I'm having some trouble.

Main shaman: Vanquishr

Alt: Vanquishrx

Edit: I lied.

I can't be bothered at this point in time to dualbox/pay for another account.

I'm going to stick to my hunter for now, and when we have a vent meeting we'll see what we need.

Add the paladin 'Kimmi' to the guild. I created a paladin so as to fit whatever role is necessary when the time comes instead of trying to find one specific role at the moment. Never rolled Horde before, so I'll have to adapt to being the evil side. However, I will be on this one a lot, since my Alliance rogue is one I only play when my two group members are online.

I have an idea. Have a Neowin guild on the three most popular servers in each region. That way we can satisfy the most people possible.

Popular servers are generally something to be avoided. The problems include:

  • Log in queues
  • The inability to create new characters
  • Ineligable targets for transfered characters
  • Lag
  • Severe economic issues (typically inflation)

On average a "medium population" server with a somewhat reasonable horde:aliance ratio is idea.

IMO a server with at least one top-100 guild is much better than one without: it tends to improve the quality of the recruiting pool, provides competition, etc. but for a Neowin guild I think that's much less important.

There's nothing stopping people from trying to form an EU or Asian guild. The only reason we went for US was because that's where the majority of people who were interested were playing.

Not really inflation... More people = more available resources than money = drives the market down = harder to make money = deflation

I agree though. I play on a medium population server and love it. No queue times, we have 1 sub 100 rank guild and 1 sub 300 rank guild, many guilds with all content cleared, everything is still PuGed daily/weekly, and lag isn't too bad.

It'd be fun to run them legitimately: 4 or 5 people, at the appropriate level (2 lower than the final boss).

Obviously the rebalancing of old content in 2.2 or 2.3 will have destroyed some of the original encounters (stone guy at the end of Uldaman isn't going to be 10-levels higher than your group) but there is still some pretty cool stuff to see.

The stairs in ZF. The Lycium. Eranikus. Maybe even a "kite the adds" kill of General Drak!

Now the time to have a chance to see old content more-or-less the way it was meant to be done.

EDIT: I upgraded my RAF account -- I've got 38 days left to hit 60. Go go go!

I lied pt. II

Dual boxing a pair of Shaman.

Very fun.

I was leveling my hunter with R-Flex (Kimmi) but due to different schedules I'll feel bad leveling it with out him/her.

R-Flex if you have AIM I'll be on all day (Steez x Mosh is my sn) if you want to let me know when you wanna continue questing. Or just PM me on here.

I've got a real-life friend of mine to play my druid while I level.

He's already got 3 or 4 level 80 chars but figured that rolling on a PVE server (no ganking) and having 300% XP was worth trying out.

Level 20 and still in full starter gear isn't going to work so I'll farm up some greens this evening.

So any idea when we will have a meeting of sorts to get a bit more organize. I know i'm the only officer atm and hold the GM spot, but I'd rather give that to someone else.

Trying to get RAF set-up next weekend or so and level a few characters to 60, then just gotta worry bout 60-80 grind. Trying to figure out the best way to do it, should I dual box 'em or just have second guy on /follow not doing anything.

That grinds a bit of a pain, but 3 or 4 people doing it together makes it go by really fast.

Both doing the quests (ideally dungeon quests with 2 groups of 2 raf + 1 high level)

you get tripple experience for mobs and for quest turn ins so it's hard not do do those. Completing the BRD quests alone is worth 5-6 levels assuming you do them at roughly 51.

    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
    • The term "RTM" is long gone starting with Windows 10. Every current release is a GA build. This is the result of MS making Windows as a Service (WaaS).
