So any idea when we will have a meeting of sorts to get a bit more organize. I know i'm the only officer atm and hold the GM spot, but I'd rather give that to someone else.

Trying to get RAF set-up next weekend or so and level a few characters to 60, then just gotta worry bout 60-80 grind. Trying to figure out the best way to do it, should I dual box 'em or just have second guy on /follow not doing anything.

I know we were planning on doing some of the low-level instances this weekend, so I'm hoping a lot of people will be on around the same time. Hopefully we can talk through that stuff then.

I've been an officer in a few guilds and wouldn't mind being one here. As far as GM is concerned, that should probably go to the person with the most experience. That's definitely not me :p

Personally, I vote Evn as Gm.

I'd like to be an officer as I have a good amount of experience with both the game, and being an officer.

Hopefully we will be able to do some instances this weekend.

So far I think Sunday morning works for who I've asked.

Well, as some may have noticed I decided to tap out. I was in contact with IanPete about possible Recruit-A-Friend leveling but the timezone difference wouldn't allow it. I really want to have some fun, do some instances and just mess around but I can't for the love of god push myself through the boring 1-60 leveling part, RAF would have been a nice shove in the right direction but without it, it just isn't happening. :/

I lied pt. II

Dual boxing a pair of Shaman.

Very fun.

I was leveling my hunter with R-Flex (Kimmi) but due to different schedules I'll feel bad leveling it with out him/her.

R-Flex if you have AIM I'll be on all day (Steez x Mosh is my sn) if you want to let me know when you wanna continue questing. Or just PM me on here.

Don't worry about waiting for me. I likely won't be on much at all with the weekend coming up, and if I do, likely at odd hours.

Sorry to hear it, but I definitely understand. 1-60 is tough to do, especially once you've experienced Outland and Northrend. If you ever change your mind though, we'll (hopefully) still be here and would love to have you join us.

A month is perhaps a bit too far into the future, it's primarily the next two weeks I'm planning to put a lot of time into the game because I'm on a forced holiday. My time zone is GMT +1 ( Copenhagen, Berlin, Paris etc. ) and I'm ready from 09:00 in the morning to like 01:00 - 02:00 at night, so feel free to find a time zone converter for your location and tell me how much time we'd have to play a day according to your schedule.

One thing though that worries me. I actually created two EU accounts to play with a friend, I set my address and all that in Denmark but set my country to United Kingdom, which allows me to do RAF ( Danish law doesn't allow the RAF system ) - Upgraded them both with WoW and one of them with TBC, to get a BE Paladin.

Around 24 Hours went by where they were all still seen as half-trial / half-full accounts, though I was levelling fine. Next day though I was disconnected and both my accounts had been suspended. The email stated my payment was rejected.

So the question is, is it because I set it to a different country, because I paid for 2 different accounts and 3 upgrades in a matter of minutes or what went wrong here? So in case I do have to create a US account, would I have to use bogus address info, find another payment source or what?

I believe the upgrade system is an automated process, doubt it would start checking my address to the country listed etc. ?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if that were the case. Credit card processing firms jump on that sort of thing - they also tend to notice unusual purchases (like buying a video game for a country you don't live in?).

I'd follow up with your bank/credit card company to make sure it wasn't them rejecting it. If it failed you can call their customer support line. They don't have any restrictions about playing cross-border but maybe the RAF restrictions are being enforced based on your mailing address?

I'm 90% sure I bought a WoTLK CD-Key from off gamers and they'll keys for any region to any place. I'm not certain it was them because I didn't keep the e-mail they sent me with the picture of the key, but the site looks familiar. NOTE: they don't send the install media or manuals to you, so if that's important look elsewhere. I tossed out all my boxes, manuals, and install media because once you've created an account all that stuff is worthless. You can download the entire game from their site faster than you can install it from CD/DVD with less babysitting.

I did keep the original wow manual though…or "the book of lies" as it's more popularly known.

How's this for some nostalgia:

While the shaman, druid, and paladin can also heal, none of them can heal as well as the priest. Also, the priest has better resurrection spells than the paladin or shaman.
Inner Fire: Greatly increases the priest's attack power and armor for

a short duration.

Discipline should have been the 'monk' tree IMO.
Reading it online: the manual remains a source of WTF? even today.

I can tell you without a doubt, my card has not been rejected due to suspicious / unusual purchases, I have talked to my bank and a rather long chain of people about this a long time ago. Around here they don't just reject purchases on suspicion, they really aren't allowed to. Especially not when you have plenty of mullahs on the account and the purchase amount doesn't even exceed $100. So I know this is from Blizzard's side somewhere.

As I mentioned earlier, RAF is not allowed under Danish law, so I could see why Blizzard would cancel my account if they found out it was created by a Dane with false information. Again that's the essence of why I'm puzzled, did they IP-check, Adress Lookup, check where I was from through my CC ... or perhaps it was rejected from Blizzards side because I made all 3 purchases within a few minutes? Would be nice to know in case I'd have to create a US account.

is the server still Quel'Dorei that everybody is rolling on, installing WoW atm, and will be imporing my mod's/setup and transferign my DK Tank and 70 Warlock, just need to know the final decision on the server

Hey guys, I haven't been as active on this character as I planned on... Been really active on my main and my best friend just hit 80 as well, so I'm running a bunch of heroics to gear him up. So I'm either going to power-level my pally later to catch up, or just go with the DK. I can make him a tank, if we need one, since I was planning on tanking with the pally.

Ya haven't been to active much either. Still getting some extra cash together to do RAF and power level some toons to 60. All the cash I had to do it went to waste on a spur-of-the-moment drive to Orlando to hit up "Mardi Gras" and see MC Hammer play, hit up Universal/Island of Adventure park, and see some Cheech & Chong at hard rock tonight.

Best spur-of-the-moment trip ever.

And then few days before we started this I re-rolled to join a friend (horde on ternas) and he's not doing anything there but chilling. Told him about this and he might just xsfer over there since I told him few of us are serious in getting to 80 and raiding and what not. But he'd be another DK and I'd transfer my DK from there also, since that already has nearly mining + jc to 300.

Hoping to get on tommorow night and level something or play the AH and make some gold and bull**** in chat.

Gah. Dk's.

I'm surprise the trend hasn't burned out yet.

I popped on a few times this weekend and didn't see anybody around - I'm already too high for the low-level dungeons that we thought about doing this weekend and didn't want to get too far ahead.

I'll still finish leveling the two I started (at least to 60) but I'm really not very optimistic about this working out.

Few people are leveling new characters and nearly everybody wants to do a DK but isn't really doing those either. My DK is higher than any in the Neowin guild and I leveled it just to make some money to buy bags and gear.

Worst case I'll just play on shadow moon. I've got a few friends in the high-end raid guilds that have alts they'd be willing to run on once a week.

    • Hey Google, these are the Gemini features I want in 2026 by Aditya Tiwari Google Gemini has been around for over three years. The AI chatbot started its journey back in 2023 (as Bard) when ChatGPT was already a talk of the town. However, it quickly attracted criticism after misrepresenting facts about the James Webb Space Telescope. The search giant spent a year fine-tuning Bard before rebranding the chatbot and its underlying generative AI model to Gemini, drawing inspiration from NASA's first human spaceflight program. Note that Bard was initially powered by LaMDA and PaLM 2; Google has since added several new features and integrations to Gemini. That said, there is scope for improvement and a gap for new features. I have been using Gemini for a while now and have realized that the chatbot lacks several features, making it harder for me to research across topics. These are mostly function-over-form updates that can improve the overall experience. Delete individual messages from a conversation Image via DepositPhotos.com One good thing about Gemini is that it can maintain context throughout the conversation. But things might get chaotic when you want to ask a related question, but don't want it to be part of your conversation in the long run. You can't ask that related question in a fresh chat because Gemini will lose the active conversation context of what you're trying to research. If Google allowed you to delete individual question/answer pairs, you could simply ask about a sub-topic and remove it from the conversation to create a smooth flow of important stuff. Offline mode Image via DepositPhotos.com A big pain of using Gemini daily is that everything loads from the cloud. It takes time for your chats to appear, and you can't view your conversation history while offline. To get a better idea, you can open the Gemini app and see how it looks without an internet connection. While Gemini models run in the cloud, it wouldn't hurt if Google could store chats (at least the text part) on the device so we can refer to them when offline. Google can also offer a lightweight version of its AI model to help with basic drafting, summarization, and other tasks. It has the Gemini Nano model, which can perform on-device processing on Google Pixel, Samsung, and some other Android brands, but it's a system feature and not related to the cloud-based Gemini app. Make temporary chats permanent I can't thank Google enough for taking the time and effort to add incognito mode or temporary chat mode to the Gemini app. It lets you have conversations without worrying that the topics will end up in your chat history or used for model training (at least on paper). Google claims that it doesn't use your temporary chats to "personalize your Gemini experience or train Google’s AI models." However, the data is stored "up to 72 hours to respond to you and to process any feedback you choose to provide." That said, I often start researching something in a temporary chat, only to realize the chatbot's answer is good enough to refer to later. Sadly, Gemini doesn't have an option to make such temporary chats permanent. In other words, I won't be able to follow up on it if I close the temporary chat. I'm left with alternatives like copying the answers into notes or another app. My digital life will get a lot better if Gemini gets a button to make temporary chats permanent. Collapse answers for a cleaner view You're heavily invested in your research game and suddenly feel the need to go up in the chat to recall something. This is when the conversation thread starts to feel like an overwhelming, unending wall of questions and answers. What if Google added a way to collapse Q&A pairs in the Gemini chat thread? It would look quite clean and easy to navigate. You'll quickly get an overview of everything you have discussed with the chatbot. Add buttons to jump between messages Suggested mockup of the feature. This reminds me of a small but useful Gemini feature that Google could add to its chatbot: the ability to hop between prompts in a conversation. Just add simple up- and down-arrow buttons, similar to YouTube Shorts, so people can quickly scroll through the messages. A table of contents or Chat Overview It's hard to get a bird's-eye view of everything you have discussed with the chatbot during a lengthy conversation. This is where a table of contents, or Chat Overview, displayed at the top of the screen, possibly in a drop-down button, might come in handy. You'll be able to get an overview of the chat and jump between messages, serving as an alternative to the up/down arrow buttons. Temporary mode for Gemini Live Image: Google You can use Gemini Live to have real-time conversations with the chatbot, which feels like you're talking to someone in the same room. However, a downside is that Gemini Live doesn't work in Temporary Chat mode, so all your conversations end up in the chat history. Google should consider expanding the temporary chat mode to include Gemini Live. Default to a specific chat One thing that feels somewhat annoying to me is that Gemini always opens in a new chat, whether on web or mobile. Sometimes, you want to return to your last chat. Google can take cues from web browsers, which let you choose whether you want to go to a new tab or a specific web page(s). Gemini can also have options to default to a specific chat when reopened. That said, generative AI chatbots have endless possibilities given the vagueness of their work. You can mold them the way you want by attaching different connectors, adding custom instructions, and including source files. It remains to be seen what Google has in store for future updates and whether anything from this wishlist gets the green light. The search giant released a stream of new Gemini updates in recent months, including Gemini 3.5 Flash and Gemini Omni Spark, adding that it now has 13 products with more than a billion users each. What do you want to see in the Gemini app? Tell us in the comments.
