Looks Great.

One suggestion I have tho is about the start menu icons (in the "All Programs" part). Could you move them closer together? Here is an example:

Sorry can't do that, BlueCurve is not a minimalistic theme like classix. Infact if you look at the real BlueCurve you will see that the menu's are even bigger. Besides I like it the way it is..... sorry.

Well something else then:

From now on you can download everything BlueCurve related from http://www.bluecurve.tk

I will create/collect as much high quality BlueCurve themes, iconsets, skins, etc. as possible. So stay tuned for more!!

Yes I know about that one too... it happens with all windows that have no 'maximize button'. Windows automaticly shrinks the captionbar with 1 pixel. Which is REALLY REALLY annoying, since it screwes up the texture and the rounded corners.... and adds some black pixels.

If somebody knows a solution to this PLEASE let me know how, because it is really bugging me. Luckily it's hard to see on a dark background.... but still really annoying and I wasn't able to find a fix yet.

whoa schmooov!! u finally did it! u outdid urself mate!! awesome theme bro!! keep it up.. will u make a logoff, bootscreen and logon screen? it would be sweet if we have a complete red hat 9 package!!! keep up the good work mate! worthy of a pint of Guinness straight from St James Gate!!! :)

does anyone know where i can find the red hat 9 wallpaper? PM me please. thanks!!!

The Red Hat 9 wallpaper is in the package as a PNG file... you gotta convert that to BMP or something to use it as wallpaper.

You can find it in: C:\windows\resources\themes\bluecurve\wallpaper

(you can also find a IconPackager theme in the bluecurve folder)

Awesome port. Now that's what I'm talking about. This is THE Bluecurve port to get!

Anyone up for a MyIE2 skin for this? Gorilla goes ok with it, but I think a Bluecurve theme would go better. Also, perhaps a Trillian skin?

cool theme :D

found a bug though

Woohoo, found what was causing it and it is fixed. Next release won't have this bug anymore :D

great news :woot:

also one more thing,

not that noticeable and doesnt really bother me but the highlight of the turn off computer link slightly overlaps the start menu border. Dunno if it can be fixed anyway

what bgcolor did you use schmoove to have it the same as the rh 9.0 wall?

Background color is: RGB (60, 100, 172)

I tried to create a new folder on the desktop named "Bluecurve".

I type the letters blue and once i type the letter c the rest dissapear.

Is this a bug?

And btw what program did u use to make your style?

Well I based the theme on Luna (the most bugfree theme I thought), and I never had that problem, untill a couple of days ago. Apparently I changed a setting that is causing this. It is a problem I have with a lot of themes (Classix, Classix 10k, and some other)... and now my theme has it too:angry:y:

If I find it I will fix it ofcourse, but up until now I was unable to find the setting that is causing it.

And I'm using StyleBuilder from TGTSoft to make this style.

Found some small bugs which I fixed already for the next release:

- grouped programs don't have white text anymore, just black like it should be

- other icon for log off in startmenu (because the one I used looks awefull)

- changes the startmenu a little bit to make it a little better

- fixed the bug where black dots appeared on windows without maximize button

Dunno when I can release a new version... we'll see. Maybe I put out a slightly better one tomorrow. If I do that it will still not have a shellstyle though.

We'll see....

will you also make a change to a left side of windows explorer (where system tasks are shown) or will you leave it as it is.

if you ask me,.. i don't like the way it is right now (the left side, not the theme).

just my opinion. thanks ;)

    • You're right that it does not follow the plain meaning of the word, but in this context, it is a legal term defined in 49 U.S.C. Kind of how "wire fraud" laws apply even if a physical wire was not used. Given that it is codified in law, and it isn't just automotive journalists that don't understand evolving technology, I highly doubt congress would change a well understood term just because technology makes the term slightly less actuate.
    • This is exactly why I keep saying we are not ready for human free self-driving. These little "bugs" are may seem like random one-offs. There was also the Waymo that drove between police with drawn weapons and the suspect they were pointing them at. From a software perspective it is easy to understand how those extremely rare situations may not have been programed for, but that is the point. If AI needs to be told to watch out for every possible contingency, then it can never be successful. There will always be the possibility of a first encounter that the AI needs to understand to avoid.

    • Recycle Bin has been broken for literal YEARS now. The setting to delete files older than 30 days from the bin which is on by default doesn't even work. I have files older than 4 months in it and they are just there still...
