CnC Generals cheat codes

I just saw an interesting cheat code for CnC Generals and though I would share here because i know some of you play it here. Though I am not sure if you just type it as text but here it is?

Most of the trainers dont work if you update the game

i know that there is one code, that changes the names of units to the names from red alert

Play as Russia

If you open the command console and type "Russia:Yuri_Relived" you get units that have the same names as those from older cnc games.

Yeah, but it's only names, unfortunately.

Westwood/EA Pacific didn't do cheats when they were around. They did easter eggs and things like that.

When I play solo I just use a trainer. I never update the game though since I know it might disabled the cheat codes. Does anyone know how to open the console command? And there is the cheat when you have to edit the "INI" file and change the cost of the building to "0000" instead of "2000" but in order to do this you have to edit it by using hex editor or something..not sure though.
