[Cancelled] Heroes Season 4 (Volume 5 : Redemption)

I dont think e can take the haitans power as wouldnt being around him neutralise Peters power?

Yeah I was thinking that the other night, he can't take it because his power wouldnt work he probably takes something off Sylar

I guess he could, but from the preview he is easily kicking Sylars ass, whereas Rene had problems controlling Arthur, surely Sylar is more powerful

Yeah, I agree with you there. I dont think he would be able to stop him. Only "removing the head" would stop him.

When did we see that?

Volume 2 flash back episode "Four Months Ago...". Peter is in the office Bob, Elle and the Haitian. Peter tries to use his powers but is unable too. Elle was still able to shock him.

http://heroeswiki.com/Mental_manipulation

Interference seems to be a largely passive ability, affecting all evolved humans in range without concentration or effort, even if the Haitian is unaware of their presence. He can, however, choose not to interfere with the abilities of particular evolved humans that he knows about. Also, his power does not operate when he is unconscious

"...Our plans are to end this year, whether it's the last year or not, in a world-changing way," Amus said. "Whether or not we continue the next year, it will lend to future inspiration for whoever thinks about these characters, whether they exist on other platforms or whether they exist on television or whether it doesn't exist at all any more. It will lend your imagination to 'Oh, my goodness, the world has changed now, and what does that mean?'

Amus added: "We don't have to be saved from an island. We don't understand what the future fast-forward means. We don't have a central question to answer. What we have are people who have to live their lives and accept their lives and have to move on with their lives. And whether we keep telling their stories or not, as far as I'm concerned, these people will continue to live on in people's imaginations, because they are people who live with abilities, and that's both a blessing and a curse in our world. Those are stories that can continue to be told."

This show is living by nerfing characters and trying to get Claire naked in some justifiable way

Nerfed multiple times, in multiple ways:

Peter

Sylar

Hiro

Matt Parkman (sylar time)

This is stupid

It'd be fitting if in the end, Peter and Sylar have a huge duel where they can only insult each other verbally and nothing else.

Of course, they bring in Samuel, the even MORE powerful evil doer... seriously... if Sylar and Peter were at their peaks, they could both pwn the hell out of Samuel... ****ing joke.

I hope to god Peter gets his original power back and walks into that circus, and at that moment, Ando punches him (maybe he thinks Peter took Hiro) and there we go... setup to the final showdown. I'd laugh if this is how it goes down. Naturally I assume the writers would make Peter's ability temporary so he can't be an immortal god.

Now they just need to think of a way to permanently nerf Sylar, maybe some pixie dust?

Some people are too obsessed with seeing a Sylar and Peter duel. The show's call Heroes not The Sylar and Peter Show.

But the show has made them into the epitome of a good and bad hero, so can you blame them?

trying to get Claire naked in some justifiable way

They're really going out of there way to show her in more tight-fitting stuff, or in various stages of undress. I spent 3 seasons wondering if she had breasts at all, and this season all they do is throw them at me.

Some people are too obsessed with seeing a Sylar and Peter duel. The show's call Heroes not The Sylar and Peter Show.

yeah back in the day I would of loved a sylar vs peter battle but now people have to accept that's not going to happen!, Peter is now a 1 power pony and can only take and lose a power so a battle would be one sided, now on the other hand Sylar vs Samuel now that's worth watching!

I liked the episode, it just flew by. However, what would happen if Peter were to touch Sylar? What power would he absorb? The one which makes you kill people in order to have their power?

He would get Sylar's intuitive aptitude. The ability to understand how complex things work. That's how Sylar gets other people's abilities, by understanding how their brain works to produce the ability.

What I want is to see how what happened in the first series plays out.

Remember the subway car where Hero goes back?

How does Claire turn evil and stuff?

That's what I want to see!

Only just started watching it, already forgot the last series!

    • Google begins rolling out its post-Epic Play Store billing model next week by Karthik Mudaliar Google has confirmed that its redesigned Play Store billing and fee structure will take effect on June 30, 2026, in the United States, the United Kingdom, and the European Economic Area. The changes will let eligible developers offer their own payment systems or send users to an external website for purchases, while separating Google’s platform service fee from the cost of using Google Play Billing. The rollout puts concrete dates and detailed rate cards behind the broader Android policy overhaul Google announced in March. That announcement followed a proposed settlement with Epic Games intended to resolve their long-running disputes over app distribution and payments, although the U.S. portion of the agreement still requires court approval. Under the new billing choice program, developers selling digital content or services can display an alternative payment option alongside Google Play Billing. They may also direct users to their own websites to complete a purchase. Developers can use Google’s standard payment-choice screen or design one that complies with the company’s user-interface rules. Choosing another payment processor does not eliminate Google’s cut altogether. The company will continue charging a service fee for transactions associated with apps distributed through Google Play, regardless of whether payment is handled by Google, an alternative provider, or a developer’s website. Google argues that this fee covers the value and infrastructure provided by Android and the Play Store. For developers earning up to $1 million annually, the service fee will generally be 10 percent. That rate also applies to auto-renewing subscriptions. When Google Play Billing is used in the U.S., U.K., or EEA, Google will add a separate 5 percent billing fee, and developers processing payments elsewhere will not pay that additional charge. This means Google’s familiar flat 30 percent commission is disappearing, but developers will not necessarily see a dramatic reduction on every transaction. An in-app purchase from an existing user processed through Google Play Billing can still reach a combined 30 percent. The biggest savings are likely to come from subscriptions, smaller developers covered by the $1 million tier, and companies able to move customers to their own payment infrastructure. Google is also offering lower rates through its Apps Experience and revamped Games Level Up programs. Apps and games that satisfy the company’s requirements can qualify for 15 percent service fees on new-install transactions and 20 percent on existing-install transactions. The criteria include performance and reliability standards, support for additional Android device categories, and selected platform features. Those program rates are scheduled to become available in the initial markets and Australia on September 30. For consumers, the immediate effect will depend on whether developers adopt alternative payments and pass any savings on through lower prices. For developers, however, June 30 begins a more flexible but considerably more complicated Play Store economy in which distribution, billing, install dates, revenue thresholds, and program participation can each affect Google’s final cut. Google is also separately developing a Registered App Stores program designed to simplify the installation of qualifying third-party stores. That initiative is expected to arrive with a major Android release later in 2026 and will launch outside the U.S. first. Google says the rest of the world will receive the changes by September 30, 2027, although billing rates for markets outside the US, UK, and EEA have not yet been announced.

    • This is about the already discredited 2025 announcement. Not the current one, which I've heard nothing negative about in the academic literature.
