He would get Sylar's intuitive aptitude. The ability to understand how complex things work. That's how Sylar gets other people's abilities, by understanding how their brain works to produce the ability.

Then why did he get the shape-shifting power when he touched Sylar so that he could fool Sylar into believing he (Peter) was the president?

I was going to ask the same question as Joel, but my answer is that Peter likely just gets the last power Sylar has, that or the power he was actively using. Either way, either way is a bit screwy. Then again, Sylar wasn't using the shape shifting power while fighting Peter and Nathan, so it probably falls back on the last obtained power.

all these abilities make no sense, although let me know if you find a healer, shape shifter, a person can fly etc.

I figure it doesnt really matter trying to put logic to most of this stuff. Its just entertaining.

You're talking about suspension of disbelief. That is something you have to have when interacting with entertainment.

However, there are also things that you can't do that for, because they are so far out there.

It's called continuity. The writers have defined some rules and are in the process of ignoring/breaking them.

I think so, this is probably the much publicized death.

it certainly is but he was on the today show talking about how they have told him there is a door to his return

Mostly dull episode, and that climactic letting go moment was not so climactic.

Sylar can shape shift back into Nathan while his abilities are supposedly being blocked, but Sylar can't use any other ability? So the argument can be made that Nathan forced the shape shifting coinciding with Peter letting his guard down. How did Peter learn to control the Haitian's powers so quickly? He's almost always struggled dealing with any power, yet he mastered that one in no time. Oh, there's the part with Sylar using his abilities while literally standing next to Peter, who didn't appear to be concentrating on limiting his power blocking power, and then....

Ahhh forget it, I'm trying to make sense out of nonsense.

Never mind that he practically fondled Sylar for about 3 days and didn't take his power. Wonder how colour-light chick passed her powers to him so quickly when he saved her from the bus?

just realized it was the season finale after reading the forums

damn..finished so quickly..so we must wait for september right?

nope there's like 8 more episodes to go yet returns end of January and this could be the last season.

    • A coalition of publishers sued OpenAI and Microsoft over scraping content without consent by Hamid Ganji Image via Depositphotos.com AI companies often rely on readily available internet content to train their chatbots and provide users with instant answers. This method of AI training is fast and relatively inexpensive, but using a website’s content without permission or compensation is not something publishers like to see, and this is exactly why Microsoft and OpenAI are now being sued. As reported by Bloomberg, a group of publishers that collectively own nearly 400 newspapers has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft. The coalition argues that the two companies scraped their content to build AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Copilot without paying any compensation. The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, argues that while AI products have generated billions of dollars in market value using publishers’ work, none of that value has been shared with the publishers. The plaintiffs are seeking statutory damages and injunctive relief for alleged copyright infringement and violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. “Defendants systematically and secretly crawled the Publishers’ websites—including content behind paywalls and other access restrictions—and copied the Publishers’ articles, stories, and other original works onto their own servers without authorization,” the complaint states. The publishers also described the AI boom as a “death knell for local journalism” if AI companies that scrape content for free are not held accountable. Former New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin and his law firm, Platkin LLP, are representing the publishers. “Our models empower innovation, are trained on publicly available data, and are grounded in fair use,” OpenAI spokesperson Drew Pusateri told Bloomberg. This is not the first lawsuit involving the unauthorized use of publishers’ content by AI firms, but it is one of the largest coalitions ever formed against the free use of content by AI chatbots. In 2024, OpenAI and Microsoft also faced a similar lawsuit from eight newspapers that claimed AI products were benefiting from their content without permission.
