[Cancelled] Heroes Season 4 (Volume 5 : Redemption)

Recommended Posts

Do you mean in the last episode mate? I think he made Claire call up her West so Peter could take his flying ability in memory of Nathan or whatever.

Yep, this was the ending scene where Peter and Claire are on the rooftop, and Peter asks for a "weird favor."

Season 1 was so epic.

I mean do you remember the feeling the first time you saw future Hiro on the subway, and having it say "To be continued". Or the first time you learned that Nathan could fly!? Or when you saw the words "End of Volume 1" and then the words "Volume 2"!! It doesn't get more awesome than that!

But now :(

Yeah I remember those days. I just bought Season 1 on Blu-ray just to relive how awesome it was. The best episode ever was the "Five Years Gone" one, that was just EPIC.

There appears to be something to that effect because Peter started flying without having acquired the power again. I know, was totally random.

yep as Bobster said he met West because he and Claire are Facebook friends :p

as for Sylar vs Peter....scrap that its Samuel vs Sylar is where its at now! :D

It's kind of a big assumption that we're forced to accept. Claire stated West goes to NYU, so he would be in relatively close proximity, but the timing of everything just didn't fit well because he and Claire were on the roof of a building, then the next time we see Peter he's on the same roof and he can fly. Initially it seems out of place, but the saving grace for this situation is that Peter isn't wearing the same clothes, so there really was no issue except the timing.

4.17 "Art of Deception"

HRG sets his plan to neutralise the Carnival in motion. Seeking to understand his desire to love, Sylar makes a visit to Matt. Peter warns Emma of Samuel's intentions.

Not sure why so many people are so stuck on Future Hiro, the future he came from has been avoided and does not exist, therefor he doesn't exist.

Because this show has slid down every week since those episodes? I hang in hoping for a return to greatness, morbid curiosity, etc... Now I just hope it ends in some quality fashion, and soon.

Hey, I'm right there with you, but bringing in a character from a future that doesn't exist...? That's grasping at straws

And that right there goes against the Grandfather paradox. This is ultimately when the show went down hill. There is absolutely no way to go back in time to change the course of history. By doing so, you alter the reason you went back in time to begin with, therefore he never would have gone to the past in the first place. This is what ****es me off about time travel in film/tv shows. They always screw something up like this. One of the reasons why I actually have enjoyed the way Lost has done it is because they can't change the past. Whatever Happened, Happened. Normally I hate time travel and this is a prime example why.

For them to keep from having a paradox, they MUST write the show where that Hiro still exists and still travels back in time. Remember when "Bad Locke" gets Alpert to tell John he must die to get everyone back on the island. He did so because he needed to end up in that situation, telling Alpert to tell John he had to die. Had that not happened, 'Bad Locke" would never have been able to tell Alpert to tell John he had to die. That avoids a paradox.

Exactly what I was going to put and use an Lost example. It's the classic grandfather paradox

Doc explains it in the BTTF movies :D :D :D

No decision has been made on a Heroes renewal, but NBC prez Angela Bromstad says she’s pleased with the show’s ratings performance at 8 and series creator Tim Kring is “pitching out his view of the next season.”

But they don't have to bring the future Hiro back. Hiro knows about future Hiro so he knows he is capable of becoming him. All they have to do is show Hiro becoming that guy. He doesn't have to be the exact same guy. Basically he just needs to stop being wasted and be bad ass. I think the writers were too scared of his power and tried to respond to the critic's complaints that he is too powerful. Same with Peter I think.

Not sure why so many people are so stuck on Future Hiro, the future he came from has been avoided and does not exist, therefor he doesn't exist.

I want him to exist. I want to forget about the last few seasons. I don't remember when it screwed up, but I want it to go back to what it was before that. I know it won't happen, but one can still do a bit of wishful thinking...

The future Hiro thing gave me a sort of Terminator-like vibe. In a good way. They could have shown the future with badass Hiro kicking ass, and made the story follow both present and future or something like that.

Ausiello from EW got a chance to speak with Heroes cast members Robert Knepper (Samuel), James Kyson Lee (Ando) and Jack Coleman (HRG) at the recent TCA press tour.

Each one of them had some interesting tidbits including saying that the Season 4 finale is not really a series ending episode, but could be the last episode for Samuel. Also, Lee hinted at a possible new generation of Heroes.

Would you like the show to reboot with a whole new cast!? This could be one way for the show to save money and stay on for Season 5.

    • Free Software Foundation Europe pushes EU to force Google to allow AI uninstalls on Android by Paul Hill Credit: Pexels Users should be able to fully uninstall AI-based features from Android devices and be able to access interoperability functions, free from Google’s verification requirements, the European Commission has heard as part of an Android interoperability consultation under the Digital Markets Act. These measures were proposed by the Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) last week when it submitted its documentation. The FSFE noted that Google had started silently installing AI models without telling users. It noted that the EU’s DMA requires companies like Google to allow users to uninstall pre-loaded software from their devices, but in the case of the AI models Google is installing, they reinstall if you delete them, contravening the DMA. To get Google back under control, the FSFE has told the European Commission that there needs to be improvements within the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). First, it said that users should be able to fully remove pre-loaded AI components from their devices, with companies being prohibited from silently reinstalling or reactivating them. Second, access to Android interoperability features should not be contingent on registration, authorization, or contractual relationships with Google. This pertains to Google’s attempt to force developers to register with Google, even to publish apps to alternative app stores like F-Droid. Discussing its submission, Lucas Lasota, FSFE Legal Programme Manager, said: Google is planning to roll out its Android Developer Certification in September 2026. This will force every Android app developer to register with Google before their software can be installed on certified Android devices, but it should affect those who have removed Google Apps from their device. The program is controversial because it entails the signing of contracts and payment of account fees to Google, as well as the handing over of the identities of developers. It said: The FSFE said that if the Commission’s draft measures remain unchanged, then Google will be allowed to make developers verify their identity. The FSFE believes that asking developers to register is contrary to the text and spirit of the law. In summary, the FSFE has told the Commission that no developer should need a Google account, a Play Store presence, or any agreement with Google to access Android’s interoperability features.
