[Cancelled] Heroes Season 4 (Volume 5 : Redemption)

Recommended Posts

I thought the last episode was great.

Sure, the last battle wasn't much, but what would it have really been... some guy throwing rocks at others or just sinking people into the ground? Not too much they could have really done with it I think, and it worked out just fine.

My question, is this it for heroes? was that the final episode ever, or just of this season?

it seems that question won't be answered until at least March but the way Kring did it was that he was opening up a new Volume and I for am game for another Volume

Same. This show has been quite the ride. Many ups and downs through out each season, but they seem to always pull me back near the end. Many possibilities open up with how they ended it, so I will remain hopeful that there will be something on tv I like to watch remaining this year.

It took an entire season to turn this mess around. That's the sad part. However, the past few episodes have been really good and I hope they realize that they can't spend entire seasons building up to one thing, but need many high points from beginning to end.

lol, I had a dream last night that Sylar was trying to kill me with a gun. But I started talking to him... "Sylar, you're not that person anymore. I know you've changed."... I gave him a hug and we became friends. Then we set out to find the guy who could duplicate himself. He was trying to kill someone from the FBI...

Anyway, I just saw the episode. I hope Sylar stays good... Claire, argh, what an idiot...

That was just bad. Another, older company is suddenly around? How convenient. Is everyone in the carnival really that naive and stupid? They just welcome back Edgar after Samuel made it appear that he was responsible for his brother's death? The carnival blindly follows and defends Samuel after he levels a city? Samuel is virtually powerless with no other specials around him? Oh, and his ability has absolutely no relation to being around others with powers! "I can move dirt when specials are around me, when they're not, I'm powerless." That makes a world of sense! And I love how the show can't clearly define where Matt and Janice live. Is it New York, California, or a little bit of both?

And Claire... I won't waste my time on her.

This season had some mildly decent moments, and wasn't nearly as awful as the third season, but give this show 12 episodes to wrap itself up for good. They've played out the "coming out" scenario at least twice, what possible difference could there be in this new beginning? There's always the threat of another Sylar, and for the love of Pete, why won't anyone that deserves it die?! At least in the first season people died, and quite often.

I really hope they just let it die, they've rebooted the story so many times and watered down the best characters repeatedly. They should never have made Claire, Peter and Sylar the focus. Hiro (not chubby, happy go lucky Hiro), HRG w/The Haitian and a few others were far more intriguing and better acted characters. Proof once again NBC can take something good and just suck the life out of it if they don't cancel it first. Peter has been boring since Season 1 and the whole show would have been better if him and Nathan were space dust. It was lame when they came back and it's been all down hill ever since.

The episode was a bit 'meh' to me. Plus shouldn't Samuel's powers have been working a little bit? Seeing as Sylar, Peter and Emma were around?

And i'm not even going to bother talking about Claire. I feel like i've done that for every episode.

did we ever compare the 2 shows?

No. I am!

I like both shows for pretty much the same reasons - 'Super Heros' . And, last year, almost everyone wanted Smallville to cancel, because it was really bad, but now THIS year is actually Smallville's BEST Season Ever!

but now THIS year is actually Smallville's BEST Season Ever!

It is?. When did I miss that memo? I've been watching it from season one. I'm not loving this season. It feels like they are pulling every episode out their ass.

Clark is also one of the worse actors on TV. It sounds like he is reading cue cards. Between these 2 shows my vote would go to supernatural :)

I actually liked the finale. I have come to realize that the shows direction will never be what we expected from the first season, however given the direction they have decided to take the show I thought it was good. Syler going good may not be a bad thing. Claire being stupid well that will be interesting to see where that goes.

I have to Disagree with those said this Finale was good. No it wasn't!

Awful Season Finale!!! Rushed and anti-climatics as HELL!!! Smallville is now a clearly better show than Heroes!

Woah, you're comparing Heroes and Smallville? Heroes isn't that bad...

Although i do think both should end.

Clearly, you haven't been watching THIS season's Smallville, it's the BEST according to MOST of the fans!

While, I like to see another season of Heroes, ONLY if the Super Heroes use their Powers to the FULLEST potential and stop using it so LITTLE all the time like this is a regular drama!!!

Well I have, and it sucks.

To me the best episode ever in the history of smallville was the season finale of #5 the 2nd meteor shower.

I have been watching but it doesn't seem like much is happening. The story is taking ages to progress and it just seems that the main storyline is shoehorned into whatever is happening in each episode.

    • NASA: This asteroid may not kill us but it probably won't be far off either by Sayan Sen Image by Zelch Csaba via Pexels New observations by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope have eliminated the last remaining impact threat posed by asteroid 2024 YR4, ruling out the possibility that the near-Earth object could strike the Moon in December 2032. NASA said observations collected by Webb on February 18 and 26, 2026, enabled scientists to refine the asteroid's orbit enough to "rule out a chance of lunar impact on Dec. 22, 2032." Instead, asteroid 2024 YR4 is now expected to pass the Moon at a distance of about 13,200 miles (21,200 km). The agency stressed that the update "reflects improved precision in our understanding of where the asteroid is expected to be in 2032 rather than a shift in its orbital path." The announcement closes a remarkable chapter in planetary defence that began in late 2024, when the approximately 60-metre-wide asteroid briefly became the most closely watched near-Earth object in the world. Discovered on December 27, 2024, by the ATLAS telescope in Chile, 2024 YR4 initially appeared to have a small chance of colliding with Earth on December 22, 2032. As astronomers gathered more observations, the impact probability briefly climbed to around 3%—the highest ever recorded for an asteroid of its size—before steadily falling as its orbit became better understood. By early 2025, international observations had ruled out any significant risk to Earth. However, astronomers were left with another possibility: a roughly 4% chance that the asteroid could instead strike the Moon. "The probability that asteroid 2024 YR4 will strike the Moon on 22 December 2032 is now approximately 4%," the European Space Agency (ESA) had said last year, noting that "there is a 96% chance that the asteroid will not impact the Moon." ESA said such an impact, while unlikely, would have presented an extraordinary scientific opportunity. "It is a very rare event for an asteroid this large to impact the Moon – and it is rarer still that we know about it in advance. The impact would likely be visible from Earth, and so scientists will be very excited by the prospect of observing and analysing it," said Richard Moissl, Head of ESA's Planetary Defence Office. "It would certainly leave a new crater on the surface. However, we wouldn't be able to accurately predict in advance how much material would be thrown into space, or whether any would reach Earth," he added. The asteroid also exposed an important blind spot in planetary defence. Because 2024 YR4 approached Earth from the direction of the Sun, it remained hidden from ground-based telescopes until after its closest approach. "We looked into how Neomir would have performed in this situation, and the simulations surprised even us," Moissl said. "Neomir would have detected asteroid 2024 YR4 about a month earlier than ground-based telescopes did. This would have given astronomers more time to study the asteroid's trajectory and allowed them to much sooner rule out any chance of Earth impact in 2032." He added, "As an infrared telescope, like Webb, Neomir would have also immediately given us a much better estimate for the asteroid's size, which is very important for assessing the significance of the hazard." The latest NASA observations underscore the value of space-based infrared telescopes in tracking faint asteroids. According to NASA, Webb made "among the faintest ever observations of an asteroid," extending the object's observational record by nearly eight months at a time when it had become too faint for other telescopes. That additional data allowed scientists to eliminate the remaining uncertainty surrounding its 2032 flyby. Although asteroid 2024 YR4 is now confirmed to pose no threat to either Earth or the Moon, scientists say its discovery remains one of the most significant real-world tests of the international planetary defence system, demonstrating how continued observations can rapidly transform an object once considered hazardous into one whose future path is known with high confidence.
