How do you sort your collection?

How do you people sort your wallpaper collections, mine is currently several gigs large and i'm looking at resorting it because it's currently a mess and was wondering how other people currently do it?

I simply have them all in the same folder as I have under 100.

You could try splitting them by the subject, IE: people, nature, urban, clouds and sky. . .

Even more so, in each of those folders:

People > Girls

People > Famous

People > Family

Nature > Animals > Insects

Nature > Trees

Nature > Flowers

Urban > Streets

Urban > Buildings

Urban > Bridges

Scenes > Beaches

Scenes > Countryside

Scenes > Cities

It'll take a while but will be nice when it's done :)

I only have a few so they are in a single folder but I like Mr Spoon's layout

i just sort them into folders according to what they are

e.g.

icons

wallpapers

cursors etc

if i have downloaded any wallpaper or icon sets, they are seperate because then its easy to customise if all the same style items are in the same place.

it would take me too long to catergorise them, plus im sure there are some wallpapers which could go in a couple of categories so i wouldnt be able to decide which one to put them in :p

I don't save any wallpapers to my Hard Disk , I usually do mine anyway so I upload it to my Deviantart account or some place else and just use it from there , so basically it will be in My Temporary folder ... I suggest you use that in the future , as for the current mess ... Well 1 G of Wallpapers is just toooo much , My Porn collection is a few hundered Mbs and I don't have the patience to organize it

i dont really have sections for wallpapers, just resolutions. Folder for widescreen, then inside that 1440x900 or any other size.

But my collections isnt massive

Sort like wallpaperbase is good.

I sort wallpapers by aspect ratio and then by resolution. I partly did this because it was mega easy to do. All I had to do was write up a quick C# program. :p

What do you do if a wallpaper satisfies multiple categories?

For instance, a famous girl on an island beach with a jungle in the background.
