BajiRav
Not everything sells as well as those titles, and in fact most games don't full stop. The only title Sony have ever had selling those sorts of numbers, ever, has been GT. In fact it's the best selling game out of the lot I believe. GT worldwide sales are over 50 million. If we were to measure everything against Halo nothing would be a "blockbuster". MGS4 has been the best seller this gen for Sony, I think it's gone over 4 million. LBP has surpassed 2 million now. Some software titles on the PS3 that are critically acclaimed have sales figures not that impressive, but hey, I'm a gamer not a stock broker, a good game is a good game to me. Valkyria Chronicles is one of my fav games this generation and I doubt it's even hit 500k. I am not saying PS3 doesn't have good games. Just raised a point about the "blockbuster" part. Kenji
Now 256 people in one game is TOO F*CKING much... (N)I understand what they are trying to get, a more realistic warzone, but DAMN, 256 people in one room will be hell to maintain and perfect. Lag will be a b*tch, hackers will make it agonizingly stupid and the concept itself sounds a bit off. If there will be respawn it will be hell seeing dozens of enemies spawn in front of--or near--you, and if its like COD4's Search and Destroy, it will be a very long wait until all 256 people die... The only thing I see worth looking at is the size of the maps. They are going to have to be literally miles long... and one 'nade can probably kill 20 people! (assuming there will be crowded buildings) :D I don't think 256 players will be a problem. +Audioboxer Subscriber² Posted April 27, 2009 Author Subscriber² Share Posted April 27, 2009 MAG also has 64 and 128 player modes IIRC, it's not just 256. antsy
Yeah, hilarious isn't it?Anyway, looking forward to the upcoming ones this year. Looking at the release list, I see 10-15 games I want to pick up, plus some on PSN. What is? "21 million PS3s and 28 million Xbox 360" so 28m in 3 years is about 9m a year vs 21m in 2 years, thats 10.5m a year. NoLiMiT06
I'm not sure I'd call any model of the PS3 barebones, but I think eveyrone agrees a price cut needs to happen ASAP. Yea wasnt' really meaning barebones, just heard the lower models did not come with the same stuff as the 120gb models They will drop it by E3 for sure. I hope so, might pick one up this summer. BTW is there a cord for VGA support? spenser.d
What is?"21 million PS3s and 28 million Xbox 360" so 28m in 3 years is about 9m a year vs 21m in 2 years, thats 10.5m a year. I don't know why you think that matters. What matters more is that the Xbox outsold the PS3 both years the PS3 was on the market and has outsold it every single month that it's been on the market save about 5 or 6, all in the US, of course. The PS3 isn't exactly catching up just yet. In fact, they're falling more and more behind. That's why they need to get a price cut and some blockbuster games out there. Great games are one thing, but blockbusters move hardware. Maybe this will be the year for that. -Spenser Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/764020-game-on-for-sony-in-xboxs-backyard/page/2/#findComment-590913494 Share on other sites

I'm talking about NA. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/764020-game-on-for-sony-in-xboxs-backyard/page/2/#findComment-590913634 Share on other sites
