I've tried renaming the file, with no luck, and winzip doesn't seem to work on it either.

Any other ideas anyone ? Is there any cross platform image converter that could do this ?

Thanks

If WinZip is throwing that error then the file is probably broken. Just ask for the original JPG.

BinHex, what on earth? If your friend using System 7 or something? BinHex hasn't been needed for the last 9 years. I don't even know how he'd make a binhex file, the default method for compression is ZIP or something.

Yeah, just get him to send the original file.

HQX is a compressed file format like Zip, RAR, Tgz, etc. It is not an image file format.

What you need is a program to extra extra the JPEG image(s) inside of the HQX container.

WinZIP should do the job but it's tossing up an error because the file is corrupted.
