Spider Identification... Please help!

Recommended Posts

I have been all over the web trying to figure out what kind of spiders I seem to have.. I have killed so far 3 because they look like Brown Recluse and didn't want to take a chance.. but if you could please look at this image and let me know if anyone can for sure what I'm dealing with here.. Please excuse the blurry image.. it's not too bad but I can tell you that there are small fangs on the front of this thing, but not too small as I could clearly see them.. and the front is really dark, like black.. any help!!!

I can't really see the species from your picutre it is too far away but here is a page on the brown recluse.

Compare for yourself since you can see it live

Though possibly could be a funnel spider which they say the bite is not life threatening though hurts.

Yeah I know the pic is bad.. nothing more I can do.. I'll have to wait for another one to come out and see if I can get a good shot of it before I kill it.. I just worry not only for myself but my kitty won't leave an ant alone ... the more I look at it and some other images I don't think it's anything to worry about other than just some local itching and it just being annoying.. in my mind I can make it look like this ..

Tegeneria Domestica (Common House Spider)

BUT.. the issue I'm having is these spider's I've found in my home are very small.. but big enough to make out the fang's and legs. Just have to wait and see I guess.. thanks for the info though!!

YUCK!!!

I agree with Rappy ><""

Just sitting here I can feel the spiders all over me :s

Good luck with them in your house, *they watch you while you sleep :p

On a serious note I thought that it was a huntsman spider. In my opinion keep killing them haha

i have thought about it a lot this part and i am certain it has eaight legs and i think it might be a spider ewwww yucky shity things

I'm reasonably certain it's not a brown recluse. It's certainly not a black widow. I think it's just a generic spider. I wouldn't worry about it too much, although if you really want to know, you could try capturing one in a jar the next time you see one and take it to an entomologist (although an arthropodologist would be better) at a local university. You could try just taking the photo, but I can't guarantee that they would be able to identify it.

Wait, so did you or did you not kill the last one?!

Also, you may want to look at getting your house exterminated as opposed to waiting to find more. I mean, if you've encountered more previously...
