[Cancelled] FlashForward - Season 1

Dominic Monaghan says episode six (airing next week) is his big episode. And his character, Simon, gets pretty messed up. Also, you'll be shocked and amazed to hear the show will keep going deeper into the rabbit hole, and spinning out more mysteries, as the season goes on, and then things will start coming together again by season's end. [E! Online]

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that one of FlashForward?s main players - co-showrunner and executive producer Marc Guggenheim (Eli Stone) - is stepping away from the series, leaving the job solely to the show?s other showrunner and executive producer, David S. Goyer.

The move follows a similar switch-up at another new ABC show, The Good Wife, when showrunner and exec producer Dee Johnson departed the show, handing it over to co-creators and exec producers Michelle and Robert King.

Ain?t It Cool News reports that the reasons for Guggenheim?s departure from FlashFoward remain ?muddy?, but evidence seems to suggest that execs were unhappy with, ?the quality of the show?s post-pilot storytelling.? The ratings have dropped from 4.1 at the premiere to 3.1 at its fourth episode. However, THR?s report says that Guggenheim was brought on post-pilot to, essentially, mentor Goyer who has limited TV experience. As stated, Goyer will go it solo for at least the rest of FlashForward?s first season.

THR says that Guggenheim will focus on development with ABC under his overall deal with them. I?m assuming that means he?ll be working on other ABC shows, and won?t be (directly) involved with FlashForward.

Navi Rawat (playing a lesbian as well!)

funny how the person who introduced the president I think was in 24 working for the president!

well she's not getting pregnant anytime soon

I'm not too sure about this show, now. I wouldn't mind (maybe even *prefer*) if ABC tells them to wrap up the show in one season. I think the happenings of "Give Me Some Truth" could have been cut to a half-hour, with nothing lost - the scenes were just too drawn out. I'm hoping ABC booting Marc Guggenheim after ordering 25 episodes is a sign that they weren't happy either, as Rappy's post indicates. I suppose it's intended as a new-viewer-friendly aspect, but the frequent already seen flash-backs of the flash-forwards are getting monotonous.

^ Porn? :s

Agreed  Ohmy, kill her off in any way, I'll leave this show. (probably not.. but yeah..)

you probably won't see her again seeing as she's a main cast member on Numb3rs

because you can just tell they don't now where the hell the show is going. last episode had nothing. and if they want me to believe all four of them left the car just in time using the doors on the right side, they must be on something!!

they do know where the show is going, they said originally they have 3 seasons worth of story that can be cut down to just 1 if needed but yeah the car bit was a bit far fetched.

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time
    • I remember when Louis used to just do interesting Mac/iPhone repairs, now he's boring and just launches "crusades" every week

    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
