You forget to mention Stardock's solution, it has the most advanced filtering and you can control it much better than axialis's filtering. Plus Stardock's solution gives you more icons in less time since when you've configured it to your liking it does the rest almost automatically

Are you talking about IconPackager?

I think he was talking about IconDeveloper. It's what I use. Gives really good results and you can choose which file formats you want to have. You can also create icon libraries (.icl files) and packages for icon packager.

Not anymore

RWIE can:

- generate any number of image formats from 1x1 pixel to 256x256

- sharpen/soften each format differently

- add different shadow to each generated format

- apply gamma correction

- detect background color

- remove empty border

- and that all in batch...

Um yeah. Not sure if this has been said, but Paint.NET supports ICO (icon), CUR (cursor), and ANI (animated cursor) with the help of a small plugin. I used it to make my "Next OS" cursor pack as well as many icons.

So I guess that's case closed, isn't it?

BTW, I can safely say that I'm the biggest Paint.NET fan. Reason being that I have the 2nd highest amount of posts on their forum (next to the admin).

Jimmerz28, use IconWorkshop File Explorer (Crtl+E), browse to the .png folder, select all .png files (Ctrl+A), right click and select Batch Create Windows Icons From Selection

thanks man, i have follow this is good and easy, but the shadow is terrible, so as the other free programe... is there any way to make it like the original png?

i have try photoshop, it is not perfect but the best shadow i can get so far, but way too slow, have to do it one by one, it will take me a week to do all 4000 of them (please don't ask me why do i need so many of them, some people just like to collect something look nice :p )...

i think most people here is like me, go around and collect a ton of png, now asking for a easy way to convert all of them to ico, but we want the best quality like the original...

the question is: is there any way 'Axialis IconWorkshop' can convert png to ico by batch with perfect shadow? or any other programe can?

thank u very much.

so the best result will be using 'Axialis IconWorkshop' to convert .png to .ico (for create it to many size)

than, use 'photoshop' to save .ico to .ico (for bigger view in window explorer 128x128)

is that right?

can i just use 'Axialis IconWorkshop' to convert .png to .ico (for create it to many size)

is there any setting in 'Axialis IconWorkshop' can make it a bigger view in window explorer? because 16x16 is way too small to view...

ico plug in for photoshop, and a utilty to bundle together icons in different sizes.

Google search "ico photoshop filter" and it's the first result, it's amazing what a little research can do. When you go through 50 pages on each of 10 google searches, that's when you start asking around.

you can do 'save as multiple icon' in icon sushi.

    • Google Finance is now out of beta with improved portfolio tracking and a new Android app by Karthik Mudaliar Google is taking its redesigned Google Finance experience out of beta and adding several new features, including portfolio tracking, scheduled market briefings, and a dedicated Android app. The company says the updates are beginning to roll out globally this week, while an iOS app is planned for later in 2026. The most notable addition is the new portfolio feature. Instead of entering every investment manually, users can upload a screenshot, CSV file, or PDF containing their holdings. They can also tell Google Finance what they own using natural language, such as the number of shares held in a particular company or fund. Google Finance will then place those investments into a dashboard showing performance, asset allocation, concentration risk, and the holdings responsible for the biggest gains or losses. Existing portfolios created with the older version of Google Finance should appear automatically. The built-in AI research panel can use the portfolio as context when answering questions. For example, users can ask which sectors are underrepresented or how their fixed-income allocation could affect long-term growth. Google says portfolio data will remain private and that uploaded files and images will not be retained. Users will also be able to edit or delete their portfolio information after it has been imported. Google Finance is also getting scheduled tasks. These let users request recurring reports such as a daily summary of overnight cryptocurrency movements or a weekly update about newly announced initial public offerings. There is also a new Google Finance app for Android. It includes watchlists, interactive charts, real-time market data, a live news feed, and the same AI research panel available on the web. Google has been gradually expanding the AI-powered Finance redesign since it first entered testing. In April, the experience was expanded to more than 100 countries, bringing its research tools, advanced charts, and market news to a much larger audience. That was followed by a wider European rollout in May, which added features including live earnings calls, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries. The ability to import an entire portfolio from a screenshot or document should make Google Finance considerably easier to set up. However, Android users will have to wait for feature parity with the web version, and Google has yet to say exactly when the iOS app will arrive.
    • I now have a option to switch to 26h1 on my x86 system right in windows updates.
