With a E4700 at stock speeds, you should be getting in the neighborhood of 100 FPS in a source game, so your max is actually not that far off.

I Just asked my mate what GHz his PC is (the one which has a 9600) and he says he has a dual core 2.7 i think he sed or 2.6 which is the same of mine :s.

You should really find out what processor your friend has. Just because you both have the same clock speed (2.6GHz), it doesn't mean you will get the same amount of performance while running games. There are many factors that determine how well your processor will be able to perform. These include the amount of cache, FSB speed, etc.

I would advise you to ask your friend what processor he has exactly, not just the clock speed. Your processor could very well we the bottleneck in your system.

Right my Min FPS is about: 60 Max is 85 and my average is about 77.

i just did a video stress test on css and i got 204 FPS. i went into a server and i was getting 70 so i thought hmm maybe the server went into 5 more servers and still an average of about 70-80 fps

i have just done a video stress test and got 204 FPS but when i joined a server i got straight away 60ish FPS

The stress test usually does yield a better FPS count than in the actual game. Especially compared to games with higher amounts of people.

Do you use custom models and skins? That can also negatively impact performance. If you do, I would suggest you at least remove the world models, as they tend to cause a FPS hit depending on how many models/skins you have installed.

Also, find out what processor your friend has. The Source Engine tends to be GPU as well as CPU intensive.

nah i dont have any custom skins and i will do as soon as he gets online ( i think hes gone on holiday)

For the last time. Your FPS is fine. There is no problem with it you are getting the FPS amount you are supposed to be getting with the hardware you have. If you want higher FPS upgrade to a GTX260.

Thanks 2 this guy on CSS i met he told me to set my AA to x4 and now im getting a constant 160FPS most the time.

so you was wrong Vice thanks anyway Guys.

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
