TurtleBeach X1's. I have them. They were $70 and about a 8ft cable? Idont know all I know is the wire is LONGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

They work GREAT for 360, PC, and music.

I love ther e5.1 surround sound. On Halo 3, the map Valhalla, my friend was at one end and start running around and jumping and I COULD HEAR HIM!?!? It was like "OMFG WHAT!?".

Also, just found out today, my friend just got these as a free replacement to his SkullCrushers, Skullcandy makes the GI!

Detachable mic, but everything else is the same as the turtlebeach. Althou I say go TurtleBeach because there made for gaming / i have personal experience.

But the GI is a good headset too.

+1 for the Turtle Beach X1. My brother bought one for ?45 a few months ago and they're brilliant! It's given him the edge in Call of Duty, which I thought very hard to believe but it actually has helped improve his game. I also use them for Guitar Hero/Rock Band as he doesn't like listening to it.:pp They work well on the PC as well, but last time I tried it, the mic didn't work directly plugged into the sound card, but something was probably disabled on the computer that stopped it from working, but it works if you use the 360 attachment and plug it straight into the 360 controller plugged into the PC.;))

My birthday is coming up in June and I was stumped as usual for any gift ideas. Well I finally thought of one when a friend mentioned his TurtleBeach headset while we were playing Live tonight. I am pretty sure I had a topic a while back about this but my interest has been renewed.

First off before I get too deep, is there anything I can easily use between the PC and my 360? TurtleBeach here has PC and 360 headsets which makes me think that would be a no to my previous question.

Either way, is TurtleBeach the direction I should head? I really wouldn't want to spend more than $100.

Although I agree the Turtlebeach X1's are great for PC/Xbox gaming. They are not as good as a decent set of headphones for music.

Is it that drastic of a difference between one and the other?

I have heard of the Triton's but didn't know much about them. Notuptome, is there any cheaper models?

yes they do makea cheaper set that does not have the dolby digital coding box witch is one of the main features witch i assume ya can buy separate later on anyways the video review was good on it but let see here is a cheaper set

um no not entirely no just the box allows alot more to be done i guess but i guess it will work either way as the headset itself is Powered if you watch the reviews of it the video reviews of it in the tiger direct links they have a full video review of them

My friend actually just contacted me yesterday saying I had to get the Trittons, that they were the nicest headset he ever had. Literally that is why he sent me a text message, just to tell me about the headset. So I have never used them, but they come highly recommended from my friend. :laugh:

My best mate's brother has the X1s and he let me try them out on COD4 - to be fair, I was pretty damn impressed with them for gaming. I didn't try them with music, but judging from the amount of bass they were kicking out (not sure if that's something he'd changed/configured) I wouldn't think they'd be too great for that.

Well there is another vote for a Triton headset. :p Did he use it for the PC or console? Was he gaming or just listening to music? Sorry for the parade of questions, I just want to make sure I have all my research done. Finally, would you mind asking him what set he has? :p

That is what worries me. I want something where I can easily transition from using them with my 360 to plugging them into the computer and listening to music or just game on the computer.

If I have to sacrifice music on my computer, then so be it if it comes down to that. I do have my Logitech X-530's with an X-Fi sound card which puts out the quality of sound/music I'm accustomed to.

BTW, if you want an easy transition between 360 and PC, it's easy as long as you can access the back of your TV easily. :p I don't use it on the PC too often because you have to take it out the back of the TV for it to reach to the PC, and I've got a CRT TV, so it's a big ask to keep doing it constantly.

The Sennheiser HD 215's aren't technically mics though too right? Just looking them up on Amazon it looks to be like on headphones.

Yeah, they're just headphones. It's the only thing I had to compare it to. Obviously, they'll perform better than the X1s because they're made for music, whereas the X1 is made for gaming and voice chat.

Well I am just torn right now. I have been really researching the Ear Force X3's as well as Tritton AX360's. Either way there are some reviews that just say punt it because the quality isn't worth it and go with the Ear Force X1's. Bah! :(

I'd go for the X1s and save the money. I'd say that ?50 is the maximum you should pay for a gaming headset. Some of them go over ?100, which is just ridiculous:wacko:o:

      Not sure there is good value here.... the only real choice is 2GB w/ Controller since 1. 512GB would disappear fast based on today's PC game installs 2. Controller is back ordered until 2027. The appeal of playing PC games on TV (along with PS5) sounds interesting, but I am not too lazy to fire up the huge PC either. Not really sure this would be "worth" it.

      This might work, but the boot menu F12 only shows hdd and dvd+/- and Niks In the bios all usb are enabled. the usb stick is in place and in the boot menu it does not show up in the bios boot order.

      Apple releases iOS 27 Beta 2 for developers and power users by Aditya Tiwari It's been a couple of weeks since Apple previewed the iOS 27 update during the WWDC official keynote. The upcoming iOS version will bring even more refinements to the Liquid Glass design language, an upgraded Siri AI assistant, and several new Apple Intelligence features. Interestingly, the latest WWDC keynote was different than previous years. Apple has released the iOS 27 beta 2 (build 24A5370h) for developers who want to test the new features being baked for the iPhone and optimize their apps. If you're interested in downloading the latest beta, go to Settings > General > Software Update > beta Updates, then choose iOS 27 Developer Beta. You can download the latest iOS 27 beta on more than 30 supported iPhones. Make sure you know what you are doing since developer betas can be unstable and unexpected at times. If you want to be on the safer side, you can wait for the public beta, which will arrive next month. It's been a while since Apple discontinued its AirPort router lineup. Now, the company said in the iOS 27 beta 2 release notes that the AirPort Utility is deprecated and won't be available for new downloads from the App Store. Apple added that if you previously downloaded the app, you can re-download it. However, the functionality isn't guaranteed when using the AirPort Utility on iOS 27 or later.
