Difference in 2006 and 2007 Honda Civic?

yeah, ex for sure. i have an 07 ex. just make sure you check up on the tech service bulletins (TSBs), and make sure they are all handled before you take the car. since the 06 was the first year of a redesign, it will have slightly more problems, but nothing major.

EX includes different seat fabric, exhaust finisher, alloy wheels, premium audio system (6-speaker + 7" sub), sunroof, and rear disc brakes. Engine is the same for all 06-11 Non-Si Civics, R18 (1.8l i-VTEC, 140hp/128 lb/ft tq). The 8th generation civic is a 6-year run model, and it had its MMC (mid model change) for this year, 2009. The 2009s added USB audio, new wheels, new front bumper/grill, clear tail lights, usb audio connectivity, and a more robust exhaust finisher for the EX.

Also, there is no "gold" color for the 06-11 Civics. The color is probably BBM (Borrego Beige Metallic), it's a lot lighter than the previous Euro Yellow Pearl seen on the 7th generation civics. I'd go for the EX in Nighthawk Black Pearl, love the color, but any black car is high maintenance to keep looking good.

Also, if this is your first time at a dealership, you can probably knock off $800-1000 off those prices if you know how to haggle. Best way to haggle with a dealer, is to just start walking out. All of a sudden a bunch of new doors will open. Good luck.

NIGHTHAWK BLACK PEARL. I HATE THAT COLOR. As CPU Killer mentioned, black is very hard to keep clean -- actually it's practically impossible. I have a 07 Civic LX and a 08 Odyssey EX-L and both are Nighthawk Black. Have fun cleaning your car every 4 days. :|

Also, those prices are awfully expensive for a used Civic with that kind of mileage. A new one isn't that much more you know. (This is why I never buy used Hondas. Their resale values are too high :p )
