I installed freetype 1.3.1 because it was required by enlightenment. Now my fonts are rather large -- and I can't figure out how to change the size. I've changed my monitor settings in XF86Config for DisplaySize; my current DPI is 133x133 so I would assume that is the problem. How do I change this setting? The large fonts are driving me crazy. They're set to like 9 points and still enormous. I've also since installed freetype 2.4.1, which didn't rectify the situation at all. This appears to be system wide, as the fonts are overly large in all applications in enlightenment, KDE, etc.

I'm using Mandrake 9.1, if it helps. Any ideas?

I started X with the command line argument -dpi 96, and the fonts are still large. So I guess it is not the DPI setting of my display. Any one have any ideas? I've been reading through FreeType documentation and searching for solutions, but I can't find anything that's helpful or does the trick.
