is there any way to play games in a window?

does anyone know how to achieve this, if it's at all possible... I tend to play my emulator games on a window and enjoy it cuz I can keep track of anything else that's going around.

Now if there is any way to do that with regular pc games, please share.

ALT-TAB and then right clicking on the minimized window clicking restore sometimes does it for me?

i don't think that works on traditionally non-windowed games which is what I am looking for.

but when you alt-tab it would have been minimized to the taskbar..restorin it would make it back to the full screen wouldn't it?

Yea the alt-tab would restore it back to full screen. As far as I know only some games you can do this by adding some kind of switch to the shortcut (like "-w" or something along those lines.) for the game.

hmm.. I would like to try that, does anyone know that actual code? I remember that the The Sims Online had a windowed shorcut, yet I don't have the sims online anymore.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

theres usually an option in the configuration menu to have u games windowed...

kinda offtopic :on my hlaf life config, ive lost the ability to play it in fullscreen, does anyone know why andhow to fix it?

What game are you trying to run in a window. Games such as Half Life or Quake or use their engine, will be able to use the -window command. But most games have a "Windowed" option in the graphics options.
