Hacking into Enter the Matrix

Recommended Posts

Yeah, the cheats DO work - at the a:\ prompt simply type CHEAT then the code ex: CHEAT 0034AFFF and hit enter then when you exit (type EXIT) choose to save and then load your save game - it only works for that time, you'll have to re-hack your save game each time if you want the cheats again...

The hacking section is more of a adventur....... the cheats were added later

Ill get you started... Type

Freemind

---Now you have access to some sound clips from morphus and B Drive

In the B Drive you find game sound clips n stuff.... but yo view images, and play movie clips you neeed access to the B:\Tools But that requiers a password... (its random so type 10101 and it will tell you how meany worng n stuff)

After you have Access to B:\Tools run virtual, you will need a password... it easy to find this password..... what this dose it mount another drive and you get to talk to trinity....

Thats all im gunna help so far.. if you need more help im me (aim-aaronsam002)

The hacking section of the game was ment to hack the construct of the matrix.... i think it was a ment as a hacking simulation :) ether way its cool..

I got the virtual drive, but how did you talk to trinity? I know the dial.exe and the 2nd number gives a modem sound, but it doesn't establish a connection - is it b/c I logged on as Guest? how did you learn to logon with the password freemind?

oh, also - did you check the e-mail and then crack the code online?

hmm, i messed with the hacking portion up to the point where the operator tell me something like i have better things to do, and then it kicked me out of that portion, to the save screen. i never used freemind as a login though. i also never needed anything from those sites either. but i dont know that i have finished hacking it. when talking to the operator, he said stuff about me using EMP on his ship, but then he stops me from doing it, and i get access to the concept art and such. i havent managed to get to training constructs though. i have the program, but nothing to load.

if people want i can see about writing a guide...

where was freemind found? i never found that mentioned. how did you know to use it?

the command prompt will never change from a:\ - you can type DIR B:\ and it'll show what subdirectories are there, then DIR B:\(subdirectory)...when you find commands within any folder (eg MAIL.EXE, etc) at the A:\ prompt just type in the exe command, space, and then whatever else you need to...

Hey I just saw this on the Matrix home page - could it have something to do with the game hacking? It seems to...

THE MATRIX: RELOADED covers a lot of ground. The future brings sections on visual effects, the ships, the creatures, the stunts, and much more. All things evolve. For those that understand this, perhaps the following will be understood.

0xA3B1A428 (note: on the website, the A3B1 was hidden text)

For the above hex, you will need a fairly fast computer and graphics card. An appreciation of the Neb is not a prerequisite (but it helps).

0xA3B1A428 -- thats actually used on the website to allow you to download some program. still downloading, so im not sure what it is yet.

http://progressive1.stream.aol.com/wb/gl/w.../med/va_win.exe

thats the link to what the code allows you to download.

ok, the web page lists that as the 'Nebuchadnezzar model kit'

just tried 23631BE6 at the same part of the site, which would make sense to do something, but it doesnt.

on the matrix site, you know the bar at the top with the panel? click on the far right of it (where the yellow light is). then, when it slides out, there is a small button to the right of the low bandwidth button click it, it should turn green, and a new panel should drop down over everything. open the panel and flip the switches so it says 01101111. hit enter, and you'll get a place to enter the hex keys.

    • This was cool back in the day when done properly - loved having icons of specific devices.
    • Microsoft quietly burying a massive Windows 7 hardware driver feature as Windows 11 kills it by Sayan Sen Last month Microsoft announced a big update for Windows hardware drivers. The company declared that it was killing Windows Device metadata and the Windows Metadata and Internet Services (WMIS). For those wondering what it is, device metadata, as the name suggests, is the collection of additional, user-facing information that an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) provides about a hardware device. The feature was introduced with Windows 7 and can include stuff like icons, logos, descriptive texts, among other things, that help the Windows UI display details about such devices in places like Task Manager or Device Manager. This was a huge deal back in the day when Windows 7 debuted. The company called the feature "Device Stage" and Microsoft described it as a "new visual interface" that essentially worked like a "multi-function version of Autoplay where it displays all the applications, services, and information related to your device." It is often considered synonymous with the Windows "Devices and Printers" Control Panel applet. Neowin did an in-depth overview of the feature when it first launched which you can find in its dedicated article here. The Windows OS was able to obtain the device experience metadata from the WMIS, but now that the feature is being deprecated, Microsoft has begun removing information about Device Stage from its official support documents. Neowin noticed while browsing that a support article regarding automatic Windows hardware drivers was updated for Windows 11 and 10 sometime last year after the release of Windows 11 24H2. Previously, this article was geared for Windows 7 and was much longer. It also contained information about Device Stage, which, as mentioned above, was a headlining feature on Windows 7. In the said article, the section "If Windows can't find information about your device in Device Stage" has been deleted. You can find the archived version of the support page here. Aside from shortening the amount of information on the page, Microsoft has also added some more details on it. The company has now tried to define what the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is, how updating drivers through Device Manager works, as well as a thorough and detailed troubleshooting section for common hardware driver errors on Windows, including one for USB-C. You can find all the new details on the updated support page here on Microsoft's website.
    • Sounds creepy to say the least. Don't need nor want AI having access to my history. They're claiming it to be an "offline" model now, but how can we guarantee they don't go behind our backs and change that?
    • Exactly! Without those fundamentals you've mentioned, Democracy is literally just Demonstration of Crazy, nothing to be proud of in such system.
    • Still I see almost no ads in mobile Edge unlike Chrome. So their browser is much better at blocking ads than Chrome and it is a fact. It even blocks ads on YouTube and you can add simple custom block filters. Also, Edge still support manifest v2 on desktop, so I'll look for another browser when I start seeing ads again.
