Hacking into Enter the Matrix

Recommended Posts

Yeah, the cheats DO work - at the a:\ prompt simply type CHEAT then the code ex: CHEAT 0034AFFF and hit enter then when you exit (type EXIT) choose to save and then load your save game - it only works for that time, you'll have to re-hack your save game each time if you want the cheats again...

The hacking section is more of a adventur....... the cheats were added later

Ill get you started... Type

Freemind

---Now you have access to some sound clips from morphus and B Drive

In the B Drive you find game sound clips n stuff.... but yo view images, and play movie clips you neeed access to the B:\Tools But that requiers a password... (its random so type 10101 and it will tell you how meany worng n stuff)

After you have Access to B:\Tools run virtual, you will need a password... it easy to find this password..... what this dose it mount another drive and you get to talk to trinity....

Thats all im gunna help so far.. if you need more help im me (aim-aaronsam002)

The hacking section of the game was ment to hack the construct of the matrix.... i think it was a ment as a hacking simulation :) ether way its cool..

I got the virtual drive, but how did you talk to trinity? I know the dial.exe and the 2nd number gives a modem sound, but it doesn't establish a connection - is it b/c I logged on as Guest? how did you learn to logon with the password freemind?

oh, also - did you check the e-mail and then crack the code online?

hmm, i messed with the hacking portion up to the point where the operator tell me something like i have better things to do, and then it kicked me out of that portion, to the save screen. i never used freemind as a login though. i also never needed anything from those sites either. but i dont know that i have finished hacking it. when talking to the operator, he said stuff about me using EMP on his ship, but then he stops me from doing it, and i get access to the concept art and such. i havent managed to get to training constructs though. i have the program, but nothing to load.

if people want i can see about writing a guide...

where was freemind found? i never found that mentioned. how did you know to use it?

the command prompt will never change from a:\ - you can type DIR B:\ and it'll show what subdirectories are there, then DIR B:\(subdirectory)...when you find commands within any folder (eg MAIL.EXE, etc) at the A:\ prompt just type in the exe command, space, and then whatever else you need to...

Hey I just saw this on the Matrix home page - could it have something to do with the game hacking? It seems to...

THE MATRIX: RELOADED covers a lot of ground. The future brings sections on visual effects, the ships, the creatures, the stunts, and much more. All things evolve. For those that understand this, perhaps the following will be understood.

0xA3B1A428 (note: on the website, the A3B1 was hidden text)

For the above hex, you will need a fairly fast computer and graphics card. An appreciation of the Neb is not a prerequisite (but it helps).

0xA3B1A428 -- thats actually used on the website to allow you to download some program. still downloading, so im not sure what it is yet.

http://progressive1.stream.aol.com/wb/gl/w.../med/va_win.exe

thats the link to what the code allows you to download.

ok, the web page lists that as the 'Nebuchadnezzar model kit'

just tried 23631BE6 at the same part of the site, which would make sense to do something, but it doesnt.

on the matrix site, you know the bar at the top with the panel? click on the far right of it (where the yellow light is). then, when it slides out, there is a small button to the right of the low bandwidth button click it, it should turn green, and a new panel should drop down over everything. open the panel and flip the switches so it says 01101111. hit enter, and you'll get a place to enter the hex keys.

    • I had to turn it off a long time ago on my work machine because virtual desktops were brutal when switching. Big thread about it on Microsoft forums. With animations off it's instant. Sucks as I had to uninstall Deskscapes as it requires animations but on my work machine productivity takes precedence.
    • Even though this tweak is basically just a placebo, I still find myself using it fairly often. There are better options out there, but the CrapFixer app https://github.com/builtbybel/CrapFixer is useful for testing and restoring the original state if needed
    • That’s such a heartwarming story — it really shows the strong sense of community Waffle House is known for. If anyone’s curious about what they offer or planning a visit, you can see full menu with updated prices and calories for 2025.
    • I'm not sure I would really call that a hidden setting, and it's been around since Windows XP.
    • Main server is my old gaming PC from years ago.  It was an older AMD Phenom based desktop until last year when I "upgraded" it.  It hosts Nextcloud, Minecraft, Jellyfin and my personal website, and serves as a general purpose backup NAS.  It is apparent in this picture though it needs a good dusting. Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux (stable, but with backports kernel) CPU: AMD FX 8370 GPU: AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB (Used for hardware transcoding in Jellyfin) Memory: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 @ 1,866 MT/s Boot Drive: Western Digital Blue 500GB SATA SSD Mass Storage: 4 12TB Western Digital Gold HDDs.  Am using mdadm software RAID 5, with an encrypted LUKS/ext4 filesystem on the array.  My "off site backup" is 3 external drives in an encrypted software RAID 0 that I keep stored outside the house and bring in once a month to sync with the internal drives. Storage drive layout: mdadm -> LUKS -> ext4 Secondary server is a Raspberry Pi 4B that hosts PiHole and Wireguard via PiVPN.  I largely use the PiHole not just for ad blocking, but for parental controls on the kids.  I'm actually thinking of upgrading this to an x86 mini PC so I can get secure boot, SMART monitoring of the boot drive, etc. Router is a GL-iNet Flint 2, incoming internet connection is 1Gbps up, 1Gbps down, no data caps.  Fiber to my service pole then ethernet from there into the house. UPS is an APC Back-UPS XS 1500G.  I've had it for ages and had to replace the battery a few times.  The main server monitors it since our power is pretty unreliable (see screenshot) here in eastern Kentucky.  On the occasion the batteries run down the main server will automatically log into the Pi and do a graceful shutdown on it as part of its power down procedure.
