WoW item hover effect?

When you go to a site like Wowhead or Thottbot when you hover over an item there is a box that pops up with information in it. Does anyone know where i can find the code for this.

Simply hover over any item name and the box will appear.

i do not want to steal exactly what they have like their exact code and whatnot however i would like to do something similar with my site. Thank you for any information that anyone might be able to provide.

I do not play WoW anymore, but do you want it too for WoW items purposes (eg. guild webpage)? If so, I think wowhead has their API available for web developers.

Looks like a chunk of javascript pulls up the additional info when you hover over the link

Yea, I did the same thing on my little WoW blog. When I first wanted to set it up, I was worried there was some advanced coding involved in all the hyperlinks, but it turns out to be much easier than that. Thank goodness.

Does anybody know how to go about creating something like this, for yourself?

I don't play World of Warcraft, I'd just like to create something similar to this, where the tooltip will pop up when you hover over a link (with the contents of a php variable) and it will follow your mouse around.

I created something similar using CSS and XHTML, however, that doesn't follow the mouse around; it has to be positioned. This seems much more efficient and also looks better.

Any help would be much appreciated :)
