Its looks pure Social networking website.

Is anyone discover this in past.??

That means nothing, anyone can put that on a web site, not a good idea. I think what Quadwave is hoping to do is to get MS to buy it from them so they've made it look like a product from MS.

That could also be the case, they are using an API to connect to the Live service so it can populate some of your info to your profile on there.

They're the same. I signed up and set my profile through windowsliveplanet.com and soon enough the url was just abbreviated to wlplanet.com

what do you mean 'microsoft's site' ... signing in always redirects to wlplanet.com , and the signin is the actual Windows Live login page... for some reason i have to sign in everytime i visit the site...

We noticed many people having doubts and/or queries about the new initiative Microsoft® has taken.

Here are the answers for FAQs:

1. Windowsliveplanet.com and WLplanet.com are the SAME websites (hmm, well - WLPlanet was used as a development platform initially, before we got the domain we wanted)

2. The entire service is offered by Microsoft India; and Quadwave is a technology partner of Microsoft. We are involved in development/implementation. Please visit http://www.windowsliveplanet.com/aboutus.aspx for details.

3. Since the site uses Live.com platform, you'll see that you have to login on Live.com authentication page rather than our own! Hence, be assured that none of your information is 'stolen'.

4. Whatever user info is accumulated, it is primarily kept with Microsoft and no one else (including we as a development partners) has access to ANY of the information.

5. About the comments on the applications, thanks for the appreciation! :D

6. About Quadwave, we are a software solutions and services company - we cater to customers like Microsoft, Adobe Inc, Thomson Reuters, Sony Entertainment Television, Rediff.com, Indiatimes.com among others.
