He won't replace Alonso, that's for sure. He is a very different player. If he does get a solid first team place, it could force Gerrard wide or in centre mid with Mascherano, with Aquilani himself playing behind Torres in my opinion.

As for the game, I don't think any United fan can take anything positive from that game. The key was no Fletcher-esque player. I'm surprised Fergie hasn't noticed, against top teams Carrick and Scholes can't play together. Anderson to replace one of them might have done a better job. And no wonder Lucas and Mascherano both gave in terrific performances. Going to be very tight this season mind, though I don't think anybody will be fighting Chelsea (even with the African Nations coming soon).

We have a life. One day or another, you will get one too. Hopefully.

We played poorly, no doubt, we missed someone who can speed up even more the game, Nani and Valencia (who was very good on sunday) aren't like that yet.

But I still think 2-0 is not a fair result. We were technicaly far better than Liverpool. We didn't have enough goal opportunity.

We simply lost a battle, a battle every fan wants to win, sure, but it's no big deal. We don't need a tree to hide the forest, if you know what I mean. :shifty:

Technically better my arse. The only Man Utd player who showed an ounce of technique better than pub football level on Sunday was Berbatov. Lucas and Mascherano simply stopped you from playing, and your players could not deal with the atmosphere at Anfield.

Also, I think Frank was referring to Mail's absence from the thread btw.

Thta's exactly why I will never take you seriously. For one, you support Liverpool, which is highly questionnable. Second, you seem to think that only you can be called a supporter. Do I need to point you that a f... lot of Liverpool supporters comes from other countries, and so never been to a game? I never understood why Martyn always says that about other team and their fans. Hell, for example I support The All Blacks rugby team in New Zealand and I have never been to NZ or a professional Rugby match. However, I have close friends who played the sport for my university and we all started supporting them and watching them a few years back. Does that make me less of a fan? I really dont think so, I am probably more hardcore about it than a lot of "local" fans are.

gregb0b, it's because most fans who are 'local' to their team think they have a divine right to be the 'true' supporters of their football club. And they assume most of us who are not from the city,town etc... are just glory supporters who 'picked' the team who were doing well.

I support Liverpool because I grew up in a family of Liverpool supporters, and that has stuck with me. The time I started to personally support them was one of the worst in the club's history so i'd hardly call me a "glory hunter" :laugh:

And the difference is supporting Liverpool or Everton would be reasonable for a person from Liverpool. You aren't even from Manchester at all, in fact as you don't even live in this country, that makes your support of Man United far more questionable than Martyn's support of Liverpool.

Pretty disappointing result, but not overly surprising given a lot of our first teamers where not involved. Sounds like Aquilani had an impact though, which is promising

Same thing could be said about Arsenal not havingi its first team. >:D Then again, you guys had Babel, Voronin and others in the second half...

How is it questionable that I support Liverpool? I am from Liverpool, my family supports Liverpool and I actually go to games and stand on The Kop. Unless of course, it was a 'humourous' comment from you that I support Liverpool, in which case that makes you a hypocrite for in turn calling me childish.

FYI, I have seen more of the real world than 'Liverpool', I'm studying a degree in another city you bad mong. Supporting a team is either done through location or family, it's people like you who stop 9 year old Scousers or Mancunians actually getting a ticket these days.

      Halo: Campaign Evolved is out next month with new prequel missions by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Microsoft offered a look at the upcoming Halo: Combat Evolved remake at the Xbox Games Showcase today. The Halo Studios-developed title is not only getting a fully remade campaign, but also new content in the form of a fresh story arc featuring Sgt. Johnson. Fans don't have to wait long, either, as Halo: Campaign Evolved is releasing next month. The new content joining the original campaign consists of three new missions that have the name "Operation: METEORITE" attached to the full project. Aside from ground-based combat, space missions are also included here. These prequel missions will take players to events set before the original campaign, where the Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson duo team up for a clandestine UNSC operation aboard a Covenant research vessel. The studio says that the story for these missions was written in collaboration with award-winning sci-fi author Troy Denning. "Operation: METEORITE gives players a chance to expand their experience with new locations, new enemy variants, more weapons from across the Halo series, and new ways to play within the Halo sandbox, all while getting to spend more time with beloved characters and witness a new event that adds to the legacy of their heroic history," adds Halo Studios. Today's new trailer showed off the game in action, including the new missions. Catch it below. Halo Campaign Evolved is coming out on July 28, 2026. It will be available across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 with a $49.99 price tag. A digital premium edition will also be available for $69.99, offering five days of early access, extra in-game skins, and a digital art collection. A $199.99 physical Collector's Edition is also incoming, bringing a Master Chief statue, a Cortana chip, a Steelbook case, and more.
