Phew.. that was a little too close.. shows again why RvP was so important (or replacing him and Adebayor).. I cant understand why we dont give Eduardo another chance.. we need a proper striker someone who can create chances as well as finishing them.. Bendy is serve me a pass or cross on a plate and maybe I'll finish it kinda striker.. we're taking a huge risk by not buying a striker..

bendtner has 6 goals and 3 assists in the last 4 games for Arsenal...don't whine

Almost all of which were served on a plate.. and he missed a whole of point-blank chances

There isn't one goal where he took on the defence from outside the area.. beat them and then scored.. like RvP or Eduardo do.. he needs to improve.. when you are playing as a lone striker up-front.. you are expected to be able to dribble and create chances... and not to miss sitters..

At the moment Arsenal need a big target man up front. Arshavin and Eduardo clearly weren't big enough when they played...I agree Bendtners finishing is sometimes extremely frustrating, but every top player can miss sitters. I don't think Drogba was banging them in left and right at the age of 22 either...

And we have Arshavin, Nasri, Cesc, Rosicky, Walcott, Eboue to take the ball into the box :)

I agree mate but most of them are midfield players.. doesn't matter where goals come from but it puts added pressure on midfield when they are not confident that the front man can put it away.. we should've replaced Adebayor.. we didnt even when we knew RvP gets injured every season.. anyways.. hopefully lady luck is on our side now and we'll keep the results and luck till the end of season :p

David Beckham is probably off for the World Cup, he apparently torn his Achilles tendom this afternoon. He flies to Finland for surgery scheduled during the night. :/

edit:I know, this has nothing to do with EPL, but there is no thread for The World Cup yet.

oh shiiiiiiiii :(

I want England to win too ofcourse.. if not then an attacking team like Spain or Holland..

Yeah exactly. Not that there's much chance of it hapenning but I DO NOT want it to go to Italy or Portugal. Really do not like the way those two teams have traditionally played at all. Italy is like the Chelsea of international football...

I see the inevitable finally happened! Poor old Phil :(

Hull City manager Phil Brown has been relieved of his duties at the KC Stadium and put on gardening leave.

Assistant boss Brian Horton and Steve Parkin will take charge of the Tigers' first-team until further notice.

Portsmouth lose nine points for entering administration

Crisis club Portsmouth have been docked nine points by the Premier League for going into administration last month.

It means the bottom-placed side are now 17 points from safety with nine games left, making relegation almost certain.

With debts of about ?65m, Pompey became the first Premier League club in history to enter administration.

Manager Avram Grant said last month: "Football should be decided on the pitch not in the courts, not in the Premier League offices."

The announcement came a day after HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) formally dropped its challenge over the validity of the club's move into administration.

In a statement, the Premier League said: "Following the High Court's decision that Portsmouth FC's administration is valid the Premier League board convened to apply the League's rules and policies in relation to a member club suffering an event of insolvency.

"As a result Portsmouth FC has been deducted nine points with immediate effect. As part of this process the board met with the administrator to agree how we will work together for the remainder of the season to ensure that the club is able fulfil its commitments."

just looking at that picture is bringing home how ****ed we are

I don't think you are mate as even if you don't get anything against Arsenal you will against us although i was reading recently (I'm trying to find it) that West Ham hasn't done the double over Wolves for 87 years and Wolves haven't won at Upton Park in 32 years. We've got Villa away on Saturday which I've got tickets for so hopefully we can try and get a point out of that.

    • Limited Prime Day deal sees Amazon Echo Show 11 is at its lowest price yet by Ivan Jenic The Amazon Echo Show 11 is currently $149.99 on Amazon during Prime Day, down from $219.99. That's 32% off and $70 saved on Amazon's newest mid-size smart display (purchase link below). As its name suggests, the Echo Show 11 features a 11” Full-HD touchscreen, which is a decent upgrade over the Echo Show 8. It offers 60% more viewing area, which makes a genuine difference for recipes, calendars, video calls, or any other scenario where the smaller display can feel a bit cramped. The Show 11 is built around Alexa+, Amazon's more capable AI assistant that can handle natural conversation. You can make reservations, order groceries, and find content based on your preferences, instead of always having to give it precise commands. There’s also the Omnisense technology, which adds ambient awareness, allowing the device to trigger routines based on temperature, presence detection, or visual cues. Smart home control is built in without needing a separate hub, and the home screen doubles as a photo slideshow when not in use. Taking all of this into account, the Show 11 is a perfect smart addition to your kitchen counter or living room. At $149.99, this is a strong Prime Day buy for anyone already in the Amazon ecosystem or looking to build one out. • Dang that sucks. I just started using this feature instead of Pushbullet.
    • I use my devices until the very end. I used my old desktop computer for 16 years, my OnePlus 5T phone for 8 years and my LG Gram laptop for 7 years. Even though they are still working, there are no more security updates for most of them (Windows 7 ESU, Android 12 ROM and the LG Gram because I wanted an ARM based laptop).
