Here's my main headquarters you could call it lol. I've got more computers in the closet, mainly servers and all. I'll get rid of the old keyboard/mouse as soon as I get another ethernet cable to go to the linux computer.

That's my daily use setup. I have another 24 port switch and all in the closet. I'm in the process of cleaning em all out so if I get time I'll be sure to post a picture of them.

Elbow grease!

You're going to o_0 when you see the new PSU installed now though below lol

I got an OCZ ModXtreme 600watt and also a Zalman Fanmate2 for the intake fan as on my mobo only one fan header (other than the CPU) can be voltage controlled from the OS and I wanted my 3rd fan slowed down to be less audible (I have super ears hah!).

Anyway, All fans are now running 700-900rpm and are uber silent, before I could hear the front fan's ambient hum but now not so. A baby could sleep with the PC on. Definitely.

Wow, that is a really nice case. Just one question, does it support TRUE 120 or is it too small?

I have the 120 you speak of and it's perfect fitting :)

unlike many other cases Lian Li cases tops can also be removed for even easier fitting.

Yeah i noticed you had one that looked similar, I think mine has a couple more heatpipes that's why I asked. :)

I am looking for a decent case to replace my Stacker 832 as the build quality is a bit off and it's starting to fall apart a bit. Dust prevention was also high on my list so I'm glad I looked in this thread, are the filters easy to change and can spares be bought easily? Side fitting drives are a plus for me as I hate having to remove stuff to change a hard drive. That's pretty neat the top can be removed.

Haha nice!

In a bid to keep the front of mine as flush and minimal as possible I have ditched my internal DVD writer and will pick up an external Samsung slim USB powered DVD drive that will sit next to the mybook hdd on my desk and look nice.

Now my case will be almost complete!

Not that its any of my business, but I'm just curious. Break it down as to what you use each computer for.

iMac - connected to the 22" display - video editing for work.

eMac - used to record news stations for editing, etc for work.

Laptop - just an IRC client, 32 bit system if I need one.

Main PC - one on the desk open - Main rig, does everything I wanna do on it lol. Mainly gaming.

Linux PC - just a play around machine really lol.

Blusih HP PC - Untangle server. Hooked directly into the back of the bottom linksys router.

Greyish HP PC - Just sitting there, haven't found a use for a 733mhz computer yet again.

PC laying on it's side under the left desk - Just need a hard drive for it and a long enough ethernet cable.

Compaq Server - web, ftp, sql, etc

You not got one for email?

You not got one for email?

Thanks for reminding me. I'll turn that linux box into a dedicated email client. And add a email server to the server =).

The greyish HP computer will become a dedicated web server.

The bluish HP computer will become a dedicated sql server.

The pc on it's side will become a dedicated email server.

The compaq server will stay a ftp server.

Why though? Is there a law somewhere saying I can't have this many computers or more? I'm constantly putting computers together from parts I get and always buying new stuff, so why not have each do something seperate.

Well your room would be cooler, your power bill would be lower and you'd have more space

My server sitting next to me on the floor, a Dell P4 2.0 with 1 gig of ram is my

Voice Mail server

Web Server

Hamachi Server

Surveillance recording system.

and my Proxy server

Poor little computer

My room is over a 2 car garage, it's plenty big enough for me and my setup. I've got 3 30" fans going full blast all the time as well.

Hmm, Voice mail Server, I must have one of those. What software do you use for your voice mail service?

I am looking at going all rack mounted soon though. I already have 3 19" rack cases ready to be installed and setup. Just need to get some time to do it =). And finally put that server cabinet of mine to use lol.

Here is the review I wrote about it way back when

    • Hello, I have used a few TEAM Group SSDs, USB flash drives, and Micro SDXC cards in the past. They all seemed to work fine. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.
