Its not just that, if you allow unencrypted non-microsoft hardware it could potentially be used as a way to exploit the system which is why you can use USB sticks for everything but save games and live arcade games.

Then why doesn't Microsoft just encrypted the files.

I've used plenty of usb drives since 1998 (both pen and hard drive) which required drivers to be installed.

Hmm, ever since going to XP back in 2001 I have never had to have a driver for a USB stick.

I really wish walmart here would sell memory cards so I could play my xbox. Sure I could play it now but I can't save :(

So wait you spent $109.16 on a broken Xbox 360 and a HDD when you could have gotten a refurbished working one for $139?

If its only "$54", you could have surely spent 30 bucks more to get a refurbished working one....

Sorry....but I call FAIL on this one.

Yes they have, it's called the PS2 and PSP. Two of the easiest consoles to ever pirate  Infact it almost killed the PSP :p

And yes you can check the warranty of the 360 by removing the faceplate. Stick is on the front of the console.

You know I was talking about the PS3 ;)

Alright cool, question for Warwagon then, was the warranty seal still intact when you opened up the 360?

Well didn't Sniper say something about the PS3 being able to play PS2 backups still. He posted about it not long ago in the Sony section.

So that's technically still the PS3 :p. Requires you to install a swap switch though I think. Sniper's method may have been different. Possibly the old trusty swap disc method.

That's only a 20gb hdd, and i would trust myself to fix it before some company selling refurbished... so you FAIL :D

Bad move IMO, you're likely to hit issues down the line. I'd never buy a 360 second hand, when you couple the hardware issues with people modding consoles as well.

No point in paying out your ass to keep your 360 alive/keep fixing it, when you can save up for a better made one (jasper) and get a warranty with it.

I don't think he cares about the warranty, since he modded it to play "back ups". It's kind of interesting though to have a moderator openly say he is "pirating" while practically everyone else is handed a warning.

Just because you "use" quotation marks, doesn't mean you're being clever.

Depends, if the Xbox 360 is still under Microsoft 3year warranty, if his Xbox gets rrod he can send it in. They don't check the drive to see if it's flashed or not. Usually the just check the seal to see if it's there, if it is ur new Xbox should be on it's way in the mail.

This might me just being tired and missing stuff, but I don't think he said or did the quotations saying he was pirating. He said he made one other modification, which is not the same as "Hey look at me, see my burned DVD+R DLs <3" :)

It says "Do not make illegal copies of this disc", doesn't say any where we can't make illegal copies of another person's disc.

Edit: Get an infectus chip and go wild. Not really, even with one your still pretty limited.

His post says he wanted a Xbox 360 to play games. Nothing else.

Some company?

4,349 seller ratings with a average of 4.5 outta a 5 star rating pretty much tells me one thing.

Thank god I didnt just humilate you in public this being the internet where noone knows you and doesnt care.

Cant you notice the absence for A++ gaming titles in the year 2009+10. Do not turn to pirating games & other forms of media. Not only is it illegal, it harms the industry as a whole.

There aren't a lot of A++ gaming titles because a lot of them are still in development, it has nothing to do with piracy

As i said earlier, he could have always rented the games , it always starts out as a harmless little thing & then turns into an ugly obsession of playing every game you can or cant just because its 1.5$ a pop since you can pirate it.

Thats absolute nonsense. I have brought more games than I have ever pirated, in fact before I completely stopped pirating a couple of years ago I used to pirate games to see if I liked them, and then buy them if I did. Seriously though, until you start to understand why people really pirate things, you should get off your high horse and stop pre-judging them

The onus should be on Microsoft to code properly, not to limit the functionality of their consoles because they did a half arsed job of protecting them

How can you properly code NTFS/FAT/FAT32/HFS+? There is nothing to code. If you want the ability to move game files/games/etc, use the official MS memory card with their proprietary file format system.

They didn't do a half arsed job of protecting the system, since currently you still cannot truly run 100% unsigned code.

The modding topics would come back if you could actual run home brew applications. I've been waiting for years to be able to put XBMC on the Xbox 360. Hell, since launch date!

I'd love XBMC on my 360. I still have an original xbox here which is never used, unless for XBMC <3. Feels a bit laggy nowadays though :(

What the hell do you think Demos are for ? Piracy is bad & nobody should dare support it , unless you all want a warning , even Warwagon.

    • And I just bought a seat cushion for my mesh chair. The chair feels nice but the first time I sat in it with boxers, I realized I don't like the feel of mesh on my legs. 😂

    • This Dell 27 inch 4K 120Hz IPS monitor is really cheap after a very long time by Sayan Sen Recently we covered a really good deal on an AMD RX 9070 three-fan model that's available at slightly above its MSRP. If you are looking for a GPU for 1440p gaming that's around the performance of the Nvidia RTX 5070 you should most definitely check it out. Let's say that you are looking for a monitor to pair that up with too. The Samsung 49" G9 curved QD-OLED superultrawide is a good option that can provide an immersive experience. However despite being a very good deal currently (at $855), it may seem unaffordable to you, or you may simply not want to spend as much on a monitor. In that case Dell's S2725QS can be a very good option as it's on sale at the moment for its lowest price in over six months (purchase link under the specs table down below). The big highlight of the Dell S2725QS is its 27-inch IPS panel with a 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution, offering a high pixel density that can make text appear sharper while also providing plenty of screen space for productivity and media consumption. The display supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz through both HDMI and DisplayPort, making it suitable not only for everyday desktop use but also for smoother gaming and scrolling. AMD FreeSync Premium support is included as well, helping reduce screen tearing during gaming sessions. The screen has fairly good brightness and color accuracy so you can use it for general work purpose, though photo/video editing is probably not going to be the best match for this. The technical specs of the Dell S2725QS are given in the table below: Specification Value Viewable Screen Size 27 in (68.58 cm) Screen Mode 4K UHD Maximum Resolution 3840 × 2160 Maximum Preset Resolution 3840 × 2160 @ 120 Hz Standard Refresh Rate 120 Hz Panel Technology In-plane Switching (IPS) Backlight Technology LED Edgelight System Pixel Density 163 PPI Response Time 8 ms GTG, 5 ms GTG, 4 ms GTG Horizontal Viewing Angle 178° Vertical Viewing Angle 178° Brightness 350 cd/m² (nits) Native Contrast Ratio 1500:1 Color Support 1.07 Billion Colors Color Gamut 99% sRGB (CIE 1931) Adaptive Sync AMD FreeSync Premium HDCP Support Yes Mount Type Panel Mount VESA Mount 100 × 100 mm Maximum Height Adjustment 13 cm Tilt -5° to 21° Swivel -30° to 30° Pivot ±90° Stand Adjustments Tilt, Swivel, Height, Pivot Glass Hardness 3H Horizontal Frequency 27–270 kHz (DisplayPort 1.4 / HDMI 2.1) Vertical Frequency 48–120 Hz (DisplayPort 1.4 / HDMI 2.1) Video Inputs 2 × HDMI 2.1 (HDCP 1.4 & 2.3), 1 × DisplayPort 1.4 (HDCP 1.4 & 2.3) Operating Temperature 0°C to 40°C Storage Temperature -20°C to 60°C Operating Humidity 10%–80% (Non-condensing) Storage Humidity 5%–95% (Non-condensing) Get it at the link below: Dell S2725QS 27-inch 4K 120Hz IPS monitor: $218.49 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) (Was: $280) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified.
