Make sure you either replace or delete uxtheme.dll in \windows\system32\dllcache first, so Windows wont replace it again with the original. The themes service stopped (go to Services, then Themes, and stop it. or open a command prompt and type NET STOP THEMES.) 2. Rename the files from a command prompt in those places. I've found this works easier. 3. Reboot your machine.
