I've got three computers here. One, the internet sharer, running XP, another running 2k Server, and a third running 98. The internet sharing computer obviously has internet and I know shares it, because I've had another computer work perfectly with it. However, the other two machines see this computer, but they don't see the internet. Can anybody help?

Have you set the "default gateway" in the TCP/IP properties of the guest machines to the IP address of your host (XP) machine? Can you ping any IP addresses from the guest machines? Try pinging google.com.

Dos prompt:

Type: ping 216.239.33.100

See what happens and let me know.

Wow! Gotta love XP. I just ran the Network Setup Wizard for the heck of it and bam! Works perfectly. I guess I messed up some settings at that last LAN party. Thanks for the help though guys.

Excellent

sometimes that wizard can be a real pain, and sometimes its just great ;)
