Pretty good episode. You can feel the momentum building now. How Whidmore plans on using Desmond's 'specialness' I dont know, although he probably wants to use him in conjunction with some of them magnetic pockets they are trying to find. I also want to know how Whidmore appears to know so much about the past/Jacob/Smokey - He didn't appear to have met Smokey before as he felt the need to ask him if he knows who he is.

In case anyone is interested, the main phrases on the room 23 video were all used in previous room 23 encounters - they were:

"Think about your life"

"We are the causes of our own suffering"

"Everything changes"

Although this is my favorite ever room 23 image:

used the same pictures as from the last time we saw that room, good to see it though!

Yeah, I was wondering that too. But we only saw Widmore's past briefly, it's assumed that Richard told him, I would guess..

yeah remember young widmore was part of Richards group if I remember correctly

The thing is we've found out that even after all the time on the Island Richard was still pretty clueless about who Jacob and MIB are and what the Island actually is (other than it being a cork..). And We need to know when/where Charles was born, who his parents are and how he become an "Other". I haven't read any of the spoilers but is it likely we'll find out these questions?

Yes Yes Yes!!!!

well the earliest we have seen him is when he was dressed in US Army uniform but to answer your question...no.

Im a lil confused now. Jin doesnt knows that Sun speak english (in the parallel time). If that, then she is pregnant with her english teacher, right?. (I dont know if this detail is that important)

Not neccessarily, remember, its an alternate timeline, not a timeline portraying what would happen if they never crashed, its portraying what would happen if the island never existed to begin with (or at least, was sunk long before they were even born, when Dharma was still on the island).

In that, Jin and Sun are married in the island timeline, but they are not married in the alternate timeline. Similarly, on-island, Jacks appendix was removed by Juliet, while the off-island Jack had his appendix removed at a young age.

So it is possible that Sun does NOT speak English in the off-island timeline, and never had an English teacher (unless I missed a bit where she proved that she spoke English in the off-island timeline).

What makes you think that? Maybe i missed something but can you please explain your theory or why you would think Sun/Jin will never be re-united?

So far, every character besides John Locke has experienced very similar fates on the flash-alternatives. Considering Sun got shot in last night's episode, something is more than likely going to happen to her before/after she re-unites with Jin.

If the preview of next weeks episode is new footage and not old footage reused, then we already know they will be reunited on the island (that is sort of a response to the person you quoted who asked you to explain why you do not think they will be reunited).

By re-united, I mean staying together. I'm sure they will see each other again, but I suspect a tragedy of some sort.

Best Lost Parody:

Wasn't this posted earlier?

It's amusing, but kind of annoying. For example, we know what the smoke monster is. We know how the Black Rock ended up on the island. We know what's in Hurley's guitar case. We know what Frank is a candidate for (he's a candidate like the rest of them, right?). Widmore and Ben fight because Ben threw him off the island. We know that the origin of the Others is that they were brought to the island by Jacob. We know why Richard doesn't get older.

They are already in the process of explaining Jacob and MIB.

Some questions are a bit lame, such as how MIB manifests himself as dead people. I can't say that's an explanation I need. I fear it would be another Midichlorian moment. The same goes for why people get healed. It's magical or something, OK?!

The video claims that people met in the past, but don't remember. Really?

And it claims that the Others are scientists, but they are not. The Dharma people are.

That video was created before the season started. So a good number of their questions have already been answered this season. Still a funny video though.

    • NASA: This asteroid may not kill us but it probably won't be far off either by Sayan Sen Image by Zelch Csaba via Pexels New observations by NASA's James Webb Space Telescope have eliminated the last remaining impact threat posed by asteroid 2024 YR4, ruling out the possibility that the near-Earth object could strike the Moon in December 2032. NASA said observations collected by Webb on February 18 and 26, 2026, enabled scientists to refine the asteroid's orbit enough to "rule out a chance of lunar impact on Dec. 22, 2032." Instead, asteroid 2024 YR4 is now expected to pass the Moon at a distance of about 13,200 miles (21,200 km). The agency stressed that the update "reflects improved precision in our understanding of where the asteroid is expected to be in 2032 rather than a shift in its orbital path." The announcement closes a remarkable chapter in planetary defence that began in late 2024, when the approximately 60-metre-wide asteroid briefly became the most closely watched near-Earth object in the world. Discovered on December 27, 2024, by the ATLAS telescope in Chile, 2024 YR4 initially appeared to have a small chance of colliding with Earth on December 22, 2032. As astronomers gathered more observations, the impact probability briefly climbed to around 3%—the highest ever recorded for an asteroid of its size—before steadily falling as its orbit became better understood. By early 2025, international observations had ruled out any significant risk to Earth. However, astronomers were left with another possibility: a roughly 4% chance that the asteroid could instead strike the Moon. "The probability that asteroid 2024 YR4 will strike the Moon on 22 December 2032 is now approximately 4%," the European Space Agency (ESA) had said last year, noting that "there is a 96% chance that the asteroid will not impact the Moon." ESA said such an impact, while unlikely, would have presented an extraordinary scientific opportunity. "It is a very rare event for an asteroid this large to impact the Moon – and it is rarer still that we know about it in advance. The impact would likely be visible from Earth, and so scientists will be very excited by the prospect of observing and analysing it," said Richard Moissl, Head of ESA's Planetary Defence Office. "It would certainly leave a new crater on the surface. However, we wouldn't be able to accurately predict in advance how much material would be thrown into space, or whether any would reach Earth," he added. The asteroid also exposed an important blind spot in planetary defence. Because 2024 YR4 approached Earth from the direction of the Sun, it remained hidden from ground-based telescopes until after its closest approach. "We looked into how Neomir would have performed in this situation, and the simulations surprised even us," Moissl said. "Neomir would have detected asteroid 2024 YR4 about a month earlier than ground-based telescopes did. This would have given astronomers more time to study the asteroid's trajectory and allowed them to much sooner rule out any chance of Earth impact in 2032." He added, "As an infrared telescope, like Webb, Neomir would have also immediately given us a much better estimate for the asteroid's size, which is very important for assessing the significance of the hazard." The latest NASA observations underscore the value of space-based infrared telescopes in tracking faint asteroids. According to NASA, Webb made "among the faintest ever observations of an asteroid," extending the object's observational record by nearly eight months at a time when it had become too faint for other telescopes. That additional data allowed scientists to eliminate the remaining uncertainty surrounding its 2032 flyby. Although asteroid 2024 YR4 is now confirmed to pose no threat to either Earth or the Moon, scientists say its discovery remains one of the most significant real-world tests of the international planetary defence system, demonstrating how continued observations can rapidly transform an object once considered hazardous into one whose future path is known with high confidence. • Yup. Google is just scraping the entire internet for their own ad profits without sharing revenue with the sources. It's obviously stealing, but since these sites depend upon Google's search scraps to survive... As for me, I just stopped using Google for anything except Reddit searches. If Reddit's own search wasn't complete crapola, I'd never use Google search again.
    • I had a feeling this was coming. Picked up my first Mac ever last Saturday. Glad I did.
