Although Ab Aeterno was great, it felt something was missing to me, just like Across the Sea

I agree Ab Aeterno was billed as the big episode that will reveal loads of stuff when in reality it wasn't that good, its a shame I wanted a Richard back story for so long

Maybe I think your comments are completely irrelevant. No need to get so angry over other opinions. I and a lot of others think Lost is a brilliant story with very creative writers. Sure half the questions weren't answered but the ending satisfied me.

I'm not angry. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

Yep. The Desmond-Penny reunion (over the phone) still makes me emotional, and I have watched it a dozen times.

That and the whole seeing Daniel in 1996 was genius, switching back and forth into the present :)

See, you did ruin the show for yourself by reading spoilers.

I didn't know anything about Ab Aeterno before it started besides it was Richard's backstory. And guess what? I thought it was great.

You came in expecting things that were never promised by anyone that had anything to actually do with the show, and you were disappointed.

you see your kinda wrong there, yeah I read hints but most of the stuff that was shown I never read about like the statue being destroyed (never mentioned in spoilers) his wife (never mentioned in spoilers), the island being described (never mentioned fully). I made sure not to read alot on that because I wanted to be surprised and I wasn't.

So now all is said and done, who was your favourite character/couple from the show?

I think mine would have to be Ben as a character just because he was so tricky to figure out. You were never quite sure what side he was playing, and the role was acted brilliantly. I'd vote Jin and Sun as my favourite couple though :)

Epilogue Details Emerge!

If you?ve watched the Lost finale, then you know that Hurley took over as the guardian of the island, and asked Ben to help him out with his experience and knowledge of the mysterious location. Years later, in the moments ?after life,? Hurley thanked Ben for being his #2 while entering the church ? a tease of Hurley and Ben?s years protecting the island. Believe it or not, this storyline has actually been filmed, and will be released as a 12-14 minute epilogue on the upcoming Complete Series box set. Michael Emerson previously told Attack of the Show:

?For those people that want to pony up and buy the complete Lost series, there is a bonus feature, which is?you could call it an epilogue,? explained Emerson. ?A lost scene. It?s a lot. It?s 12 or 14 minutes that opens a window onto that gap of unknown time between Hurley becoming number one and the end of the series. It?s self-contained, although it?s a rich period in the show?s mythology that ?s never been explored, so who knows what will come of it.?

Okay, n ow on to the new information: E! Online spoke to Jorge Garcia, who revealed some new details about what will be included in the extra segment:

?It will address some of the issues, like the food drops, and it will deal with what happened on the island after Hurley took over and how he handled things. It will give you a taste of what took place after Hurley took over as the new number one. There?s a little epilogue thing going on with the DVD.?

Kristin Do Santos also has a bit of insider information:

Inside sources also told me that Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) will be shown in the bonus material. ?We?ll find out what happens to Walt,? says the insider. But when asked who else he worked with, Jorge replied coyly: ?There are other people in it, but I?m not going to tell you who.?

So there you have it, we?ll finally learn about the food drops, what happened with Ben and Hurley after they were left on the island, and finally get a conclusion for Walt.

    • Good move IMHO no matter who is running the administration. We need checks and balances on this stuff especially concerning bleeding edge models. China and others that depend greatly on stolen IP will weaponize it ASAP if they get access. The same effort needs to be applied by the SEC concerning all of this circular funding of AI companies and BS financial reporting as well.
    • Microsoft kills AI-powered history search feature in Edge by Usama Jawad In June 2025, Microsoft began rolling out AI-powered history search functionality with Edge 138. The idea was simple: allow customers to use natural language phrases and synonyms to find their desired history items rather than matching keywords exactly. Although the company had already rolled out this capability in a phased manner, it has now decided to cancel it. In an update on its Microsoft 365 Roadmap, Microsoft has announced that it has decided not to move forward with AI-powered history search. The company has not detailed the exact reasoning behind this move, but it has apologized to customers for the inconvenience. The move is rather interesting as it seemingly could have improved user productivity. Edge users wouldn't have to worry about typos or exact keywords, and just focus on what they were trying to locate in their browser history. Microsoft had also assured users that an on-device AI model would be leveraged for this functionality, and no data would be sent to the cloud. IT admins also had the ability to control its availability through the EdgeHistoryAISearchEnabled policy. When the feature began rolling out last year, many of our readers called it creepy, noting that they couldn't trust Microsoft to keep their data on their device. Others also questioned its usefulness, saying that it's simply a way for Microsoft to insert more AI bloat into its products. Although the Redmond tech giant had stated that it will be more mindful about surfacing Copilot features in Windows 11 apps, we later discussed how this is mostly a rebranding exercise rather than an actual axing of AI functionalities. Indeed, a Microsoft executive later emphasized how they want to reshape Windows for the agentic AI era. That said, it does seem like at least AI-powered Edge history search isn't a part of that vision.
