This movie is getting over hyped.

WAY over hyped.

Nah, if anything, way UNDER hyped.

Fox showed the 15-minutes one day only 1-2 showings but no more than that. A good 90% of population has probably NOT seen this Masterpiece yet.

I DON'T get how anyone think this is a Over hyped movie?

Yeah I know I AM hyped, but then again you know I follow these things like crazy, like Rappy!

I DON'T let COOL **** like this get pass me! :p :D

Well, you ain't alone Dear! As a HUGE Sci-Fi Fan watch Almost every Sci-Fi that came out, I've also NEVER seen anything like it either!

It's WHY I will LOVE it, but also why many other will Loath it when they can't get something they never seen before.

What, exactly, has "never been seen before" in this crap? What unique and revolutionary concept is there in this multi-million dollar eye orgasm shot from the stagnated loins of James Cameron? I'm guessing...nothing. Pretty pictures, that's all. Just pretty pictures. :laugh:

Judge it by just a 2-minutes Poorly edited TEASER trailer with NO dialogs but one "This is Cool" line?? (I Doubt YOU have seen that 15-Minutes footage on 3D IMAX)

This is NOT even worth arguing.

As said again and again, that 2-Minutes trailer does NOT do the movie justice at ALL!

No, the movie doesn't have to be seen ONLY in 3D, but to get an understanding of the Dialogs, how actors react thru these Dialogs (Which the 15-minutes footages SHOWED) makes a huge difference what this Teaser strongly Lacked!

Then, Pandora, the footage showed MORE of the place, and it's utterly Heavenly!

3D makes it 10X Better, but without 3D I think it will still be a Quality movie!

Nope, sure haven't. And the way you capitalize your words is annoying. Please stop.

Other than the visuals, what is there to this movie? Seriously. I want to know. I know the basic plot, but you're acting like this is the 'Gone with the Wind' or 'Citizen Kane' here. If you're all excited over the visuals, great...but don't imply that anyone that's looking for more out of a film is too ignorant to 'get' this movie. It's not hard to 'get', I assure you.

A lot of people was first like "2-Minutes Trailer SUCKED. I think the movie will FAIL!!!"

After watching this 15-minutes footage. They all like "OMG I was Wrong!!! I was a Fool to doubt James Cameron!"

You mentioned "Gone with the Wind' or 'Citizen Kane' ... look.

Again, I said it. The 15-minutes showed Wide range of Acting, Dialogs, and Emotion that this 2-Minutes Trailer LACKED strongly!

What I saw from 15-minutes footage was that Dialogs was Witty and funny! The Emotion is very Human-like.

The CG? I CAN'T tell the difference between it and the Real thing!

You're still not answering my question; other than visuals, what does this movie have to offer? I'm looking at threads now, and all I see is the whole 'best cgi at the moment' spiel repeated over and over. Nothing about if it's a good movie.

And, most people who say this movie is over hyped has NOT checked out the 15-minutes footage, likely.

Only go by what that 2-minute Teaser showed...

You don't know how POOR/DOES NOT Justify this 2-Minutes Teaser to this movie is!

3-D movie blog MarketSaw says we'll be getting a second trailer for this movie soon, and it'll focus more on story, including a glimpse of Future Earth, and it'll showcase Sam Worthington's incredible performance as Jake Sully. Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver will also have more exposure. And the movie's viral site AVTR posted some new concept art, plus our first glimpse of Unobtanium, the miracle mineral they want to mine on Pandora. (I almost typed Pandorum. Bad, bad typo.)       This is how much iPhone 18 Pro could cost after Apple's price hike confirmed by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed in a recent interview that the company may have to raise prices on some of its products due to the ongoing memory shortage. While he did not elaborate on the scale of the price hikes, new estimates suggest that Pro iPhone models could become significantly more expensive this fall. The Wall Street Journal and research firm TechInsights have come up with an educated estimate of how much the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro could cost after its launch in September. The estimate is based on current increases in memory and storage chip prices. For starters, the iPhone 18 Pro base model is expected to feature 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. According to TechInsights estimates, 12GB of DRAM for the iPhone 17 Pro cost Apple $39 last year. However, for the iPhone 18 Pro, the cost of the same amount of DRAM could soar to $145. Likewise, 256GB of flash storage that previously cost $13 could now cost around $51. Producing a base iPhone 17 Pro reportedly cost Apple around $582, but TechInsights estimates that the production cost of the iPhone 18 Pro could rise to $726. If Apple wants to maintain the roughly 47% profit margin it enjoys on the iPhone 17 Pro, the base price of the iPhone 18 Pro would need to reach $1,371. After standard pricing adjustments, customers could end up paying around $1,299 for the base model. However, that may not be the end of the story. As we previously reported, the iPhone 18 Pro is said to feature a variable-aperture lens, which could cost Apple at least 50% more than the current camera system. The estimated $1,299 price tag does not include the additional cost of this upgraded camera hardware. Once that expense is factored in, the base model could cost at least $1,399. A $1,399 price tag for the base iPhone 18 Pro would represent a significant increase over the current $1,099 starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro. If Apple wants to keep its upcoming iPhones competitive, it may need to accept lower profit margins.

      Google Gemini co-lead Noam Shazeer is leaving for OpenAI by Pradeep Viswanathan Noam Shazeer is best known as one of the co-authors of the 2017 “Attention Is All You Need” paper, which introduced the Transformer architecture that now powers most large language models. He also worked on several major Google AI projects, including LaMDA, before leaving the company in 2021 to co-found Character.AI. He also authored the Sparsely-gated Mixture of Experts (2016) paper, which is popular among the AI community. After falling behind OpenAI and Anthropic a couple of years ago, Google brought Shazeer back in 2024 as part of a major deal with Character.AI. Through this deal, along with Noam, several other researchers returned to Google DeepMind. More recently, he was a vice president of engineering at Google and a technical co-lead for Gemini. Today, Noam Shazeer announced on X that he is leaving Google and joining OpenAI. In his post, Shazeer said it was a difficult decision to move on, adding that he was proud of the Google team and what it had built together. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman welcomed the move with a post of his own, saying Shazeer was one of the people he had most wanted to work with since OpenAI’s early days. Google has made strong progress with Gemini over the past year, closing the gap with OpenAI in several areas. But losing Noam Shazeer is a major talent setback for them, especially after bringing him back less than two years ago by spending a fortune.
