Im sorry but the fan is right here, what a D-bag

You know, there are WAY TOO many average people would totally ignore you when you say Hi to them...kinda rude I know, but why would a celebrity/director be above them in that respect?

I read a lot of comments on this and some say this is a TMZ hired guy, many say this is a Ebay seller, but MOST people say "If he signed for him, everybody else would want an autograph wouldn't be fair thing"

So, in James Cameron's defense, if he don't want to sign it, he has EVERY right to refuse! If a fan can NOT respect that, it's the fan being VERY IMMATURE, IMO!

You can't always get what you want just because you are a Huge Fan... you think you are entitled to something? If I could do that, Screw autographs, I am gonna instead want a kiss on the cheek of many of the Beautiful celebrities females, you know? "OMG I am Your biggest fan!!! I spend $10,000 on you. At least you could do is give me a KISS on the cheek !" :p

James Cameron could said it nicer without using F-Bombs all over the place, though.

Where do you go get the signature like 24, Lost, Firefly from?

On Topic - but I think the acting from Zoe Saldana IS really award winning worthy!

↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ ↓ :D

That's been my same signature for years... I used to be quite active on these boards but nowadays I barely come here anymore :shiftyninja:

I think they're called "fanbars" or "userbars" or something similar - I honestly don't recall where those specific ones came from when I made that sig :p

But back on topic, yesterday I bought the Avatar soundtrack and it's fantastic.

People who went to this movie for the storyline ... frankly are stupid. That being said the visuals were better than expected which was the only reason I went to watch this film.

Thats a pretty stupid statement for calling other people stupid because their opinions differ from yours, grow up

And you came to that conclusion how? Please, enlighten us.

I saw the movie in IMAX 3D and I loved every bit of it. The story, the special effects, the characters, and the setting. It honestly didn't feel like two and a half hour movie.

I think the story was fine - it provided a basic foundation for the action which, lest we forget, was the main role of the movie. I was just blown away by the scope of the world Cameron has created. I'd love Marvel/DC to pick it up as a comic to explore the history of the planet, the characters, the natural history of it....

Just came back from watching it, the plot is utterly, totally, definitively, absolutely, constantly CRAP

The production is top notch, but I couldn't even enjoy that because the plot and the character development was just so damn stupid.

The plot was so predictable it was not even funny.

James Cameron should have just put pretty pictures without anyone talking for two hours and it would have been a much better movie.

im begining to get a worried about your obsession with a movie Jedi lol, but whatever floats your boat

I did finally see this in IMAX 3D and I do admit that it was the best example of 3D in a theater i have ever had the pleasure of seeing, however I still think the story is sub par and retold, the imagery of Pandora is amazing and top notch and the "New Tech" for transfering real actors facial emotions to CG characters is great, but still not that huge of a leap from previous tech that they would have you believe it is.

The Obvious and admitted guilt trip "messages" in the film about how we humans destroy what is good in the world, while true is getting old but did not bother me in the least nor did it bring my opinion of the film down, other things did.

Anyway I believe it will be included in my blu-ray collection when released and I think the astounding amount of hype is what made this less of an event for me, I like being surprised at how good films are rather being told or lead to believe they are of a certain quality before hand, and with this the surprise was non existent.

I know I'm asking this where the question would be theater specific, but I'm going to ask it anyways.

Planning on going to see the movie in 3D Imax next week and do the 3D glasses have the ability of going over glasses? It'd blow to go to the theater, pay for my ticket, and find out that it doesn't.

The standard Digital Theater (Non Imax) that i went to when i saw it in 2D did have those (however they say it reduces the 3D effect or might not align the image depending on your prescription , The Imax theater I went to did not.

I would Call Your theater of choice and find out

The 3D viewing I attended to had over sized 3D glasses with the main intent they can just go over regular eyeglasses.

I actually had a friend with me during the movie who used the 3D glasses over his own and they worked just fine however YMMV!

Depends on your glasses. Mine are frameless and are slim enough to fit under the 3D glasses, but it's sort of like wearing a dive mask. I'm sure I look ridiculous but the theater is dark anyway

I'd be willing to bet that the 3D glasses in most theaters are probably oversized enough to allow for regular glasses underneath.

I saw it in IMAX 3D and I have to wear my glasses to enjoy the movie I'm seeing, and to avoid unnecessary eye strain. I can say that the 3D glasses I had were large enough to fit over my normal glasses; however, you will feel a bit of discomfort because of the weight of the 3D glasses on the tip of the bridge of your nose. Actually, you might feel a lot of discomfort. My friend and I left the theatre with the same pain in the same area. And we both wore our glasses for the movie.

That reminds me there were quite a few people that walked out with the glasses on LOL

Is it worth going to the IMAX versions? I know it's a big screen and all but.. is that the only difference between Digital 3D and IMAX Digital 3D? The reason I am asking is because the IMAX versions are sold out all over the place.. and I was wondering if I'm going to miss out on anything if I went to the Digital 3D version.

Broke the $1 billion mark.

?Avatar? was, once again, a big winner, dropping only 10% as it sold $68.3 million worth of tickets in the U.S. and Canada, according to an estimate from distributor 20th Century Fox. That?s the highest domestic gross ever for a movie on its third weekend, blowing away the previous record of $45 million set by the original ?Spider-Man? in 2002, even accounting for inflation.
