Go jack....its the ultimate showdown coming up....Jack vs. Everyone!!!!

Fo real when he finds logan is behind this he is gonnna snap crackle and pop ya'll. Hope he takes pres taylor down too, politically or any other means, as shes just logan with a vagina.

Once again, go jack, go.

The best of the past 5 seasons was in season 5 when Logan unleashed all his presidential powers to stop Jack and couldn't do it. Sure, Jack is always a wanted man, but it was never as epic was in season 5. In season 5 they killed balmer,... this season they've killed Rack. Rehashing plots? Sure. But this show has to go with a bang. And I'm sure they'll take the literal approach too :D

Actually somewhat glad with her death as she was a totally otiose character. I was also pretty happy about how the writers managed to make this season's plot somewhat plausible by making all the previous antagonists marionettes of the Russians.

All in all it was a pretty good episode & it is making the end of this season actually somewhat exciting.

I was thinking earlier BTW - and everyone thinks that Jack won't die this season because of the movies......

BUT - has anyone ever said that the movies are going to follow the events of day 8 ? There is nothing stopping them making it a "prequel" of shorts, after all there are 18 month gaps between seasons inside the show.

Just my 2c

Now that Fox has confirmed that 24 is ending, I know that they are going to go out with a bang. The series finale of one of the most watched hour long dramas ever!? Jack will either die, chloe, or for some reason, he may have to kill President Taylor. Who knows, but what we will know is that they will 'end' the show properly, but leave something open for the movie.

Personally I was hoping Jack would die in the movie, and Renee would take over, filling Jack's shoes so to speak and be just a bad-ass chick. That would of rocked..

i actually thought that jack was going to kidnap dana while the president left and got disappointed when he appeared on the roof

now about going rogue, even the president should know nobody ****es jack off

Wait and see what will occured in the next episodes. Jack is now wanted but they will transfer Dana elsewhere and with some help from probably Chloe Jack is gonna be able to get his hand on Dana and be able to uncover the truth behind everything.

An episode like this past one (18) could've been told within 20 minutes. This is very annoying -_-

Ok that would have been way too ridiculous, even for this show, so I'm glad that didn't occur.

I thought Jack Bauer would do something to the president. Nothing happened. Seems he will go undercover now but where he flies will be crucual. He will have to go off the path or he will be caught. Who let him keep the gun though when he entered CTU or when he was being escorted to the helicopter? Someone else involved?

Jack did not have a gun; he took the gun from the agent who was walking right next to him. Watch it again you'll see it !

Kill the president! That won't be happening. An ending I would have liked would be Chloe left in charge of CTU, Jack and Rack Bauer living happily ever after. But since that won't be happening, I really don't see a way out for Jack other than dying. He'd be the ultimate silent clock. Him going and staying with Kim wouldn't be a satisfying ending. Chloe will likely be left running CTU in the end which makes sense. A Season 5 type ending would be good. Jack being taken only to reemerge in this case, the movie. Would be interesting if he ends up going to jail in the US for his recent actions and all the **** that happened at the start of Season 7. Then in the movie he's released to aid in something. Although if they movie takes place in Europe perhaps he'll somehow end there.

Jack stealing the helicopter was pretty funny and Logan pulled through, showing he still has balls ;)

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
