Really? Am I the only one that found it pathetic? After all of these half arsed episodes I was expecting that the finale to at least be an epic battle between someone. Instead Michael and Lucifer stand around and have a little chat. :\ Talk about wasting an excellent story. :( Hopefully season 6 goes back to Supernatural's roots.

And Chuck (?) basically trying to excuse the bad ending ..ha :p

Yeah I'm with you, I was expecting fireworks....

But the episode was good nonetheless.

Hammer of the Gods, last weeks! all epic episodes!

The narration by Chuck combined with the cheesy background music were my least favorite parts. It felt very cheap and poorly done, like something from a Hallmark movie.

The final battle was a bit underwhelming. Like noted above, standing and talking, no action. Castiel going pop was a :o moment for sure, then Bobby gets snapped, but then moments later they're both restored. No real sacrifice or loss in that regard, like when Nathan and Peter flew above New York in the season one finale of Heroes. Great moment, only cheapened by the fact that they were fine a week later, no real sacrifice.

Crowley was nowhere to be seen, which is kind of a bummer because I'm assuming he'll still be in possession of Bobby's soul, unless Bobby dying or being resurrected negates the contract with Crowley.

I was surprised to see both Lucifer and Michael be cast into the abyss. I'm thinking that we'll get a conclusive Armageddon next season, that trapping Lucifer again is only going to delay the inevitable. That all depends on if that was just Sam standing outside the house at the end or not, but I don't believe the angel and demon business is over. Armageddon is supposed to end the supernatural battle for a millennium with Lucifer being the abyss for a thousand years. The show very loosely follows the Christian in that regard so naturally there will be differences, both big and small. Either way, this wasn't truly Armageddon.

By half arsed I mean the funny episodes + the fact there was no hell on earth kind of situation at all, which I can understand.. hard to create a season choc full of special effects that'd have been needed.. but they could have atleast put in an effort for the finale. It felt like one of those Stargate episodes where they just stick the characters in a room and do flashbacks so they don't have to waste money on the episode. :p

And I mean, Castiel being god.. that would have been awesome! Spout some crap about him wanting test Dean, etc etc. And Lucifer turning around and killing Bobby and Castiel.. does it really matter what they do to Michael, hes about to kill him anyway. :\

I guess whats happened is they've written all the episodes and then late in the game they've added the 6th season so they've just quickly deleted 'and then everyone dies' so the show can continue. Would have been nice to know what the planned ending was...

Oh well. :\

According to TheFutonCritic Supernatural already has a full 22 episode order for next season!

i guess we know both say no to thier respectable partners. They should have just had them both say yes. have a huge fight and end the show. anything after this season is going to be non stop dead horse kicking.

What...Sam said yes last night?

Death was pretty interesting. In that one episode, he talked about how 'here' is just "one little planet in one little solar system". That red-headed angel made mention of scattering Sam's cells across the universe to prevent Lucifer from possessing him. Maybe the show will introduce aliens as baddies. I think that would be cool. :p

Jensen Ackles (via a translated Brazilian interview) offers some teases for season six that are both tantalizing and potentially troubling:

I'm excited about next season, because we're pushing the "restart" button... For the creative aspect, we need to understand we just got over a gigantic climax and we're getting into an unknown territory. The Apocalypse was avoided. That's why we getting forward a few years and see where the Winchesters are and how it's their lives. I can't help but think of the final scene of The Hurt Locker, when the main character sees himself in front of a shelf with several cereal boxes and doesn't know what to do. The guy disarms bombs in Iraq, but gets lost in the supermarket! That is not his reality, just like not being a hunter looks like a different world to Dean. All his life was dedicated to one single task, almost like a voluntary slavery, now it's time to face the monster of real world. That's totally new to me, through the acting perspective, and I'll explore a lot more of Dean's life, that's why I'm so excited. A kind of introspective tension, like inside monsters.

SUPERNATURAL: Season six will be a season of mystery and shadow. Heaven and Hell have been left in complete disarray since the apocalyptic events of season five. And now, monsters, angels and demons roam across a lawless and chaotic landscape. And so Dean Winchester, who has retired from hunting and sworn never to return, finds himself being pulled back into his old life ? pulled back by none other than Sam Winchester, who has escaped from Hell. The two reunite to beat back the rising tide of creatures and demon-spawn, but they quickly realize that neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn?t what it used to be, and that nothing is what it seems.

They've killed people and brought them back waaayyy to many times.

Now all they need is a guest appearance by Stefano and they will be set.

He has faked his death or been reported dead by others eleven times during the series' history, coming back each time to taunt the citizens of Salem.

Man the premise of next season seems kinda ridiculous. Sam can manage to escape from hell so easily but the devil can't? They've killed people and brought them back waaayyy to many times.

Technically, Sam didn't die at least not like Dean who got buried. Also, you forget that Sam is not in Hell with just the Devil, Michael is also there with them. There are many ways that Sam could have escaped including as a byproduct of the angels attempting to free Michael, Sam striking a deal with Michael, etc. I don't think that the ending of season 5 is any indication that Sam had already escaped. I think he gets to view life on Earth just as the Devil gets to. Also, I like Ackles idea of moving time forward, not just months but years. This would put Dean squarely into his father shoes. A man with a family that must choose between protecting the world and keeping his family together.

    • I use it by choice but only for specific tasks that I have forgotten and it's quicker to ask then spend time wasted finding a decent answer on Google or coding a certain language. I prefer to use it. I do think that as it gets integrated into everything, when we eventually fully rely on it, I'm talking new gens not older gens like me, that we won't think for ourselves, I mean we will become lazy thinkers, lazy logical answer to problem which will go badly. But if we don't become fully dependant, we might be OK but I don't think personally we are going to be OK, not for the newer generations. Unless they advance in that space to the next level of intelligence where it can work out its own problems and create ideas for itself.
    • Pity the article on MS website gives no indication when said "20%" performance gains will actually be rolled out to users.
    • I just looked on my computer and there are settings and log files for utilities I have never even turned on!
    • O&O ShutUp10 3.1.1104 by Razvan Serea O&O ShutUp10 offers a simple yet effective way to take control of your Windows privacy. It provides access to almost 50 privacy-related tweaks, most of them hidden or not easily accessible to the average computer users. Using a very simple interface, you decide how Windows 10/11 should respect your privacy by deciding which unwanted functions should be deactivated. Using ShutUp10 you can easily disable Windows Defender, turn off telemetry, disable peer-to-peer updates, turn off Wi-Fi Sense, disable automatic Windows updates, turn off and reset Cortana and more. ShutUp10 allows you to create a System Restore point before you apply any changes, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems. O&O ShutUp10 is entirely free and does not have to be installed – it can be simply run directly and immediately on your PC. And it will not install or download retrospectively unwanted or unnecessary software, like so many other programs do these days! O&O ShutUp10 Free and Premium The latest version brings O&O ShutUp10 Premium, expanding the app’s long-standing privacy controls with automatic enforcement of user-defined settings. Instead of manually rechecking options after every Windows update, users can set their preferred privacy configuration once—or apply recommended settings in a single click—and the tool continuously monitors them in the background. If Windows 10 or 11 re-enables disabled features or introduces new data collection paths, Premium restores the chosen settings automatically without user intervention. The free version remains available and fully functional for manual adjustments, offering the same core privacy controls for Windows. However, the Premium tier is aimed at users who want long-term, hands-off protection, adding automatic reapplication after updates, ongoing monitoring, and optional notifications to ensure privacy settings remain consistent over time.
