Btw, if you want to have your c10k background as the default background that windows loads up with (if u have classic logon selected), create a .reg file and add this code:

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\]

"Wallpaper"="C:\\path\\to\\file.bmp"

Unfortunately the filetype must be a bmp. Enjoy

 i'm not very sure about the current winamp skin for this theme. there are a lot of bugs and some other overall poor graphic qualities that make it practically unusable, but luckily i love classix and i have lots of winamp skinning knowledge so i'll give it a shot and see what i can come up with.. i have a lax game plus its my bday today so i might not have time to work on it tonight but definitely look out for it in the coming days.

Kick ass, mind doing a deep sea blue skin? That'd be cool man.

I love the Deep Sea Blue versions of this theme. I use Trillian Pro, and would like to have a matching skin. Is there an update to the C10k Trillian Pro skin in the works, or can I have permission to make the alterations myself? I have plenty of experience making skins for Trillian, but I don't want to waste my time if someone's already working on it.

Hi guys, I'm almost done with my version of the winamp skin. Here's the latest preview. All components are skinned already and I got permission from giga to release it (thanks) - just need to complete all color schemes and the skin will get released (one or two days at most).

wow that looks very nice :) can wait to download it.

i made the original one for Trillian. havent stared on the new colors yet, you can make the new ones based on mine. just let me take a look at it before its to the public.

I'm not sure if anyone has addressed this problem yet, but I noticed when I was using this theme, AIM started crashing. I use AIM with DeadAIM. Basically, when I put up an away message, it would crash in about 30 seconds. Also, it does not "dim" buddies after 20 minutes of idle time. It's really odd. I do love this theme, but it is doing this. Great work overall though! Thanks giga.

By the way, this is my first post here at Neowin even though I signed up a long time ago. I finally got around to posting. :) Glad to be here.

Hey guys, here's the update of Bant's c10k mod with some tweaks and additions that have been requested.

Here's some of what has been updated and added, from the readme:

Bant's Ergo mod has been tweaked a bit, 3 new color schemes in the style of Bant's mod (Ergonomic, Olive, Carbon), shellstyles have been updated, new start buttons, other minor cosmetic tweaks.

Please guys, do not post any screenshots of your "mods" in this thread. If you'd like send it to me and I'll take a look at it, no guarantees. Direct all questions and issues of permission to me, thanks. ;)

Thanks to all those that have been supportive and have contributed to Classix 10k. :)

    • BATorrent 3.0.3 is out.
    • The current Statcoungter desktop numbers has Google Chrome increasing it's market share this past year and currently commanding 75% share. Everybody else is just making up the numbers with even MS Edge losing 3% this past year and has dipped just below 10% share which is staggering considering it's default on every Windows deviced purchased. If these numbers are correct that terrible Edge number is both devastating and embarrassing for MS especially when you add in the terribly low Bing market share. This leads me to ask a couple of questions as the default browser holding just less than 10% market share seems really weird. It used to be that all Chromium browsers were being counted as Google Chrome in some cases.  Is this still happening? Do these high Google Chrome numbers contains some Edge user numbers?
    • Yeah, all web browsers seem to have some junk in them these days. The regular Brave browser has a lot of unnecessary stuff in it, similar to Microsoft Edge, so I don't see any benefits of using Brave over Microsoft Edge if you already have Microsoft Edge fully set up with ad blockers and that. The cleanest or best free browser outside of 'Microsoft Edge' I’ve tried so far is 'Samsung Browser'. It has very little bloat and is a nice-looking web browser with an inbuilt 'Ad blocker'. I also really like the web browser called 'Floorp' that is based on Firefox. This browser can also install Chrome extensions. I have a system wide Ad blocking program for Windows 11 that doesn't just blocks ads in the web browser, but over the whole system. I don't really need a web browser with an inbuilt ad blocker because of that.
