What was the last movie you watched?

Recommended Posts

Peter Bogdonovich's Mask. Not to be confused with The Mask, the Jim Carrey comedy vehicle. This movie (Mask) is the true story of Roy "Rocky" Dennis, the facial deformity he was born with, and how he was able to integrate himself into the "normal" world, in spite of his appearance.

Just watched King of New York that I got in my Netflix. I thought it was pretty good. It's so crazy seeing all these actors much younger, like Christopher Walken, David Caruso, Steve Buscemi and Larry Fishburne.

I will admit, I was waiting for Caruso to put on the Shades and make one of his little one liners.

2001 - A Space Odyssey

I watched it twice, read the wikipedia page, and went to the 'explanation' web site. I still have no idea what happened.

The last hour of the film I thought I was tripping acid.

Temple Grandin - 10/10 inspirational true story....an HBO movie

Claire Danes deserves an award (Emmy) without a doubt for her performance as Dr. Temple.

Synopsis:

A biopic of Temple Grandin, an autistic woman who has become one of top scientists in humane livestock handling.

The Real Temple Grandin Bio

Temple Grandin (born August 29, 1947) is a Doctor of Animal Science at Colorado State University, bestselling author, and consultant to the livestock industry in animal behavior. As a person with high-functioning autism, Grandin is also widely noted for her work in autism advocacy and is the inventor of the Hug machine designed to calm hypersensitive persons.

Grandin's interest in animal welfare began with designs for sweeping curved corrals, intended to reduce stress in animals being led to slaughter.

Cairo Time (HD) ? The perfect film for Valentine?s Day. Even if I did watch it alone (some sympathy please). A pleasure to watch and I totally fell in love with Cairo. The 90 minutes flew by. Alexander Siddig is one of my favourite actors. Even since I saw him in "Kingdom of Heaven". The guy doesn?t get enough roles. Definitely one to watch.

9/10

"Nine" on a scale of 1 to 10 scores a negative 10 (N)

The musical or the animation? I've seen the animation and it is a waste of a film and my time.

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
