Watched the Korean movie last night I Saw The Devil.

Pretty damn good flick in all regards.

For some reason it kind of reminded me of a unique take on Dexter.

4.5/5

Pretty much a perfect movie. Was truly surprised by how good it was. Was definitely not expecting that.

If you enjoyed Lee Byung-hun's acting, then I recommend A Bittersweet Life. Brilliant film (Y)

Definitely. I thought he did a phenomenal job. Him and Min-Sik Choi as the "bad guy" were both really brilliant. Especially Min-Sik Choi. He played one of the better villains so to speak that I have seen in a movie in quite some time actually.

Surprisingly Netflix does not carry A Bittersweet Life movie whatsoever, but I just did a little research and I was able to find it, so will download it tonight and definitely check it out in the very near future.

I say the very near future as I watched I Saw The Devil last night on my iPad in bed while my wife was asleep. Actually had to finish it this morning as I initially did not realize it was over 2 hours long and next thing I knew I was only half way through and it was 2:30 in the morning. Which OT for a second but if anyone is reading this who has an iPad and does not own the app Air Video (iTunes link) I truly recommend it as it is just a brilliant app. Anyway generally speaking I usually have to wait for my wife to fall asleep, especially with a movie like I Saw The Devil, so I have been using either my iPad or PS3 as these types of movie are more my cup of tea then hers. Although I do think she would have potentially really liked I Saw The Devil, so perhaps I can talk her into watching this one together.

Thanks for the recommendation. (Y)

No problem. I use Air Video myself and it's a superb app for streaming video (Y)

And I will say that while "A Bittersweet Life" is a violent film from the outset; it's not so overly gruesome (well, not for me anyway :p) that you'll have to wait for your wife to fall asleep again so you can watch it

    • Depends on what you need. Might be a bit clearer on what you plan to do with it. Sort of a waste if you get the newest and greatest, but don't know how to use it.

    • Ah. La Fontana De Incontinentia ! Bella ! Bella !
    • Hi everyone, I'm planning a small network upgrade and was wondering how others prepare their networks for future needs. Do you usually invest in higher-speed switches and better cabling from the start, or do you upgrade only when necessary? I'd be interested in hearing what has worked well for you and any lessons you've learned over time. Thanks!
