Digitalfox
Ok I've been a Firefox user even since it was renamed Firefox, yet never encountered this before.. Not that it's serious to me, but what the .... And while I actually find it funny the msg, If Firefox want's to be used in company's isn't this childish? Yes I have a sense of humor, but if this happens to one of the company's I recommended Firefox they won't find it funny at all.. Miuku.
You should loosen up the pole, it's stuck a little too deep. People in corporate entities are just normal people - yes, even those ones wearing a suit and tie everyday. If someone at our office saw that message they'd most likely smile and get on with their lives after resetting the browser as per suggestion. Shetland
I find it entertaining. Yes, I realise your concern about companies however what matters is that it IS a secure product. I agree it's a secure product, no doubts on that :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/816070-did-my-firefox-just-go-nuts/#findComment-591489112 Share on other sites
Calum Veteran Posted August 25, 2009 Veteran Share Posted August 25, 2009 Thread moved to the 'Firefox (Gecko)' sub-forum. I don't think it's childish at all. I mean, look at what Google displays when you type in "Recursion" :D A bit of light-heartedness doesn't hurt every once in a while and I'm sure many companies would agree :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/816070-did-my-firefox-just-go-nuts/#findComment-591489114 Share on other sites
Pupik
"This is childish", said the guy in his 26th, while complaining that Firefox couldn't recover his Transport Tycoon forum tab. Digitalfox
"This is childish", said the guy in his 26th, while complaining that Firefox couldn't recover his Transport Tycoon forum tab. LOL.. What's the problem in playing a game? :D Is there a age limit after having 18 years to play a game? And by the way this happen when I boot up the machine and started Firefox this morning, as far as I know the Firefox session last night terminated fine.. Pupik
Nothing. I just found it funny that you dismissed the different approach to displaying information on screen, as childish. Shoop
I think it adds a nice personal touch to put in a bit of human expression in those messages, especially when an error occurs. Gmail: "Oops! That wasn't supposed to happen!" Youtube: "We're currently putting out some new features, sweeping out the cobwebs and zapping a few gremlins." Better than your usual sterile and boring '404 NOT FOUND' messages. The Teej
If anything, it's better then the original "restore tabs" message because it shows you which tabs crashed. After a while most people don't even look at the message and just hit the restore button. Check the incognito/private browser feature for example :p.
