I think there going about this wrong, it looks like an OS, I thought the would make it so you turn it on and you've got a fullscreen browser, maybe with a clock and few bits in the corners but no desktop as such. However I'm still of the believe that this will fail miserably.

I believe it's fake but you never know about these things. Google might be secretly releasing these pictures to see what kind of reaction they will get.

That's not proof since you are looking at a picture of a computer screen with it on

Not saying it's real though.
