WHEA-Logger Error Help Needed

WTF is this all about?

Today I cleaned installed my Windows 7 RTM and twice it's locked itself out causing me to have to press the power button to resume my session and when I look in Event viewer to see what's causing it I get this error shown below.

Anyone got any ideas?

I can see it's something to do with the processor but what?

Have you tried installing chipset drivers?? check out this forum/thread - link

Hmm the Event ID on yours is 18, but in that thread I linked to it's 17.

I hate to be the git but could you do what it says and show us the details page?

A quick google suggests it may be something to do with Wolfenstein 2009, or a driver issue (most likely chipset)

You may wish to try AMD MCAT checker (AMD Machine Check Analysis Tool) to get something logical out of it...obviously this only applies if you have an AMD processor, I've found nothing where this occurs on Intels.

I also found the same as you through google but I don't play that game and as I've already said all my drivers are up to date.

Not being rude, but I suggest you try again with the chipset and perhaps the graphics drivers.

It also mentions Machine Check Exception, that for me ended up with Acer replacing a motherboard and processor in a laptop I had. However if it only started after you installed windows 7, that points more to a driver/software problem.

I've checked everything and it's all up to date.

I've checked on both nvidia's site and drivermax and they both report that everythings up to date.

In my case my system is 100% stable except when I try and use my TV card. Then after a random time of using it, I will get exact issue. I had the problem with Vista but it's not so severe in Win 7. All my drivers are up to date. I even considering that it may be a hardware issue with the TV card itself as I have not got it to work properly for the last 6 driver revisions from Hauppauge.
