That has to be some of the most pathetic voice acting I have ever come across :| Dear God!

Also aside from the combat system looking like it flows about as well as a river of bricks they added QTE which suck ass!

Discuss.

The dialogue is horrible indeed, but this is certainly not final. Geralt's voice-acting was pretty good in The Witcher, and with the Enhanced Edition they've taken special care that all versions sound good and interesting. I would expect the same level of quality in the Witcher 2.

The graphics look very impressive, but I hope graphics card will be up to the challenge when it is released. The Witcher didn't perform so well initially.

As for player actions eliciting reactions on the part of NPCs... this looks essentially like Fable. Fun, but nothing revolutionary. The reactions showcased are purely cosmetic and do not add anything meaningful to the story or character development.

NPCs having their daily routines... since Oblivion's Radiant AI I'm quite skeptical of the usefulness of such systems, but we shall see.

Revamping combat and adding Havok physics : great ! Can't wait to see it in action on my monitor.

As for the quick-time events, I hope they are not too many of them. Combat should remain fluid.

Is Geralt a Jedi now? I guess the push back is the only ability they wanted to showcase atm.

Still this made my day, this is great. Loved the first one, although hes a witcher...I still hope hes fighting monsters and not humans for the whole thing.

The first one looked very promising but I was put off because the game felt very unpolished and ran like ass on my reasonably powerful PC. Was hoping they would improve the game a lot more then this and while the graphics seem better I'm far from sold here. Asik I hope to God you are right, the whole voice acting and dialogue seems awful judging by that trailer...

Awesome, I've been hoping they'd make another one since I really like The Witcher. :D

The graphics look like a nice improvement over the original game's, and the new day/night cycle & real-time shadowing looks impressive. I'm liking the inclusion of the Havoc physics too. And the voice acting certainly isn't the finalized voice acting...there's just no way, particularly given the quality of the Enhanced Edition's VOs in comparison. It seems to me to be just placeholder voice files done by the devs until the in-game script is finalized and the real voice acting is done.

Anyways, I'm pretty excited by this from that teaser; I can't wait to hear more and to get a rough release date. :)

    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
