The way Microsoft has done custom categories is ridiculous; if you have Recent Items turned off for the taskbar, they won't work.

And also, it appears that there's a limit on the items that can be inserted.

If in fact the custom categories issue is because of how they are implemented in the Windows 7 API Code Pack, that would be awesome, but I doubt it.

Signing up for testing? I'm not really that kind of developer... This program is primarily an experiment. But anyway, I'll be releasing an alpha pretty soon.

As for using the taskbar preview and buttons, this program does so.
