make sure it doesnt have a lot of miles on it

and that it doesnt have any mysterious cracks in it ( cus it may have been in an accident and they will say otherwise)

also try to see if theres any warranties on it cus those are always good

this of course is only if your buying used

uhhh...you guys have the wrong idea...sorry, let me be clearer...

the car we're getting will be new...so don't have to worry about the 'used' part..

what i mean is that when you go buy a computer, you look at the specs...speed, memory, storage, sound, video etc etc...and we all know *well, most of us*...what would be a good buy and why...the features and such..

same way in a car, when they give the specs of the car...

i kinda wanna know 'what means what'...and how does it affect the performance of the car...and if possible, what's recommended

it's probably going to be a sedan or a SUV...V6 engine....mostly for city driving...and sometimes long...

looking at mazda6 GS-V6...

hahaha you mean "McLaren F1"

OH yea the McLaren

Now that is a car!

:)

back on topic.

I would get a accord over mazda6

Much better name.

You need to look at a lot of reviews of the cars that you are thinking of buying. You can never do too much research. Edmunds is a great place.

You need to look at the name of the car like Honda. They have a rep for lasting forever and really being good cars. You also need to look at the specs. Meaning if you dont want to have a lot out of pocket in gas every month really look at MPG. After that look at 0-60 times, HP, and torque.

Then test drive a lot. It is the most fun part of car buying! Get the feel part. How does the car handle. Make sure you can go on a nice long test drive. 15-20 minute. It is nice if you can get on the highway and get it up to speed. Go through some curve so you know how it handles.

Make sure the car is right for you look, feel and price!

Have fun!!!!

:)
