osirisX
why the mac theme? I prefer the standard theme. Because it is the OS X version of Firefox? The_Decryptor Veteran Posted November 2, 2009 Veteran Share Posted November 2, 2009 Some of the work required for this has already landed in the main codebase. The code that allows that, is also what allows the tabs to move into the titlebar. Bugger: it's my Firefox colour management profile. If I switch it off as described on https://developer.mozilla.org/En/ICC_color_...olor_correction ... boom! Silver! So now I either blame my monitor's colour profile, or Firefox's handling of it. Weird that I've not noticed this issue before. /me is getting new monitor drivers Update: I give up. I believe it's the ICC profile for my 2208WFP (problem also noted at http://forums.techguy.org/digital-photogra...rey-brown.html), but for now, I don't seem to be able to fix/remove it. I'll probably just wait until I install Windows 7 later this month, and avoid downloading the monitor update from Windows Update. What fun! Apologies for the deviation from the topic, hope it was interesting at least :) Firefox doesn't control Windows Photo Gallery, so it's obviously a bad profile. cupertinian
I like what I see with the planned UI revamp in Firefox 3.7 but ultimately I prefer the look of Firefox 4.0 UI. Just a personal opinion, but I really find that scheme soul-destroyingly boring. Beige, beige and more beige. Apart from the built in OSX colours, there's no variety at all. But! at least Delicious and Luscious have the tabs the right way around. :) I prefer the OS X App UI color to the hideous over-the-top migraine inducing Aero transparency UI of Windows. :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/829950-firefox-37-and-40-theme-and-ui-revamp-mac-specific-visual-refresh/page/2/#findComment-591878928 Share on other sites

-KJ
Never had any problem with Windows 7's Aero theme. Quillz
I understand that's a necessity with Aero's enormous screen estate wasting windows. It actually wastes very little screen estate, if any. Unless you consider losing a few pixels on a large, widescreen monitor to be wasteful. .Neo
I'd hardly call 4 px on large widescreen monitors "wasteful," but your mileage may vary. You mean 8 pixels on both sides (= 16 pixels) by default on Windows 7. Plus the Windows Explorer title+toolbar is an additional 11 pixels higher compared to the one of the Finder. So yeah, again, pretty wasteful and quite a bit more than those 4 pixels you're talking about. ...Just go and make them smaller in the visual settings then? Making them look weird in the progress as well? No thanks.
