No idea about the compatibility's and workings of the game you're trying to play, but I'd recommend telling us more information about your operating system, your antivirus software, and what peripherals you have plugged in. If another user cannot help you, try contacting Microsoft or the creator of the game for more information in regarding the issue.

Oh. Okay.

I use Windows Firewall and Windows Defender, that`s all.

I`m not sure if there is a hidden firewall or not but I don`t know how to detect it if there is.

follow this guide:

run the commands under Memory dump from an application/process that is HANGING (not crashing) and post the results, that the adscript generates. It should post you a log file where it shows which thread is frozen and what is called there.

Command line arguments used were:

-hang -pn Audition.exe -quiet -o c:\adplus

WARNING! An '_NT_SYMBOL_PATH' environment variable is not set, as a result ADPlus will be forced to use 'export' symbols (if present) to resolve function names in the stack trace information for each thread listed in the log file for the processes being debugged. To resolve this warning, please copy the appropriate symbols to a directory on the server and then create an environment variable with a name of '_NT_SYMBOL_PATH' and a value containing the path to the proper symbols (i.e. c:\winnt\symbols) before running ADPlus in quick or crash modes again. NOTE: After creating the '_NT_SYMBOL_PATH' system environment variable you will need to close the current command shell and open a new one before running ADPlus again.

Selected debugger: cdb.exe

Output Directory: c:\adplus\Hang_Mode__Date_10-06-2009__Time_16-34-35PM

ADPlus was run with the '-quiet' switch.

I also tried running it on the 32-bit version [Debugging Tools for Windows (x86)] (since my computer claims to be 32-bit but only 64-bit programs work on it) and I got the same log results.

go to Systemproperties (right click on computer icon on desktop and select properties), select advanced properties and create a new environment variable with the name _NT_SYMBOL_PATH and give the variable this value:

srv*C:\symbols*http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols

Now run the script again.

hmm, strange. Do you see a dmp file under C:\adplus\Hang_Mode__Date_10-06-2009__Time_19-35-02PM

if yes, zip it and upload it.

Hang_Mode__Date_10_06_2009__Time_19_35_02PM.zipFetching info...

That`s the entire folder. Not sure what a .DMP file is, but I don`t think it`s in there, just TEXT.

no dump inside.

Did you close the hanging app before running the command? Leave the app running in background and now use adplus.

Here is a documentation for adplus:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/286350

I still can`t find a .DMP.

I really appreciate all the help you are providing me (:

After running the script, go to the hanging app and click on it, so that Windows detects that it hangs.

Otherwise I don't know why it fails for you to generate the dumps. I've used this script several time, if an app hangs for me and it worked
