I know a few people that have personally tried it. A common mistake is to put the paste on and then get going rather than leaving it cure for a good few days. After curing the temps dropped further from just running it after applying the solution.

Theres a review here where its gone up a few other thermal compounds so you can see how it performs.

The first shop I believe in the uk to start stocking it was one called watercooled-pcs.co.uk and they are still showing stock.

Hope this helps

:p

What temperatures do you get Jdawg683 with your i7 920?

I had the Q6700 doing Prime95 with small FFT's the day before for the paste to cure, when IC say it's two hours if I remember correctly.

Running now with the AC Freezer Pro 7 and IC Diamond, my Q6700 @ 3.33GHz went down on idle by 4c (previous temp with AS5 used to be 44c) and on load by 5c (previous temp with AS5 used to be 65c) (Y)

I'm pleased with the results so far :) Downsides are that the paste is hard (needs warming up through hot water), not free-flowing like AS5 and doesn't spread out using a card.

Radish?

after 30-60 mins of Prime95, my load temps top 79C on the hottest core. all is stable, but it's so hot... and that's w/ the Megahalems! i reapplied my AS5 last week, but havent noticed much of a difference yet. im chocking it up to bad airflow through the case... not much else i can do for the case.

how did you apply it Radish? it doesnt spread w/ a card... :ermm:

I put a small 5mm dot of the paste in the center of the CPU, the applying pressure of the AC Freezer Pro 7 spread it well.

Since doing this however, I've switched to a Xigmatek HDT S1283 and had to apply two lines of the paste due to the copper heat pipes. Idle temperatures have gone down further, up to 3c and load temperatures by 2c.

Radish?

    • I agree when are you going to read this (really poor BTW) article? Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
    • I disagree; they come off very "bitchy" and "whiny". Make a great product and combine that with a great price (free) and people will come over to your side. Or build it and they will come as they say. Constantly trying to get attention by complaining all the time, will turn people off to your product.
    • It use to be a nightmare, with LibreOffice supporting a newer draft ODF standard by default, and Microsoft Office supporting the older non-draft standard. Now that they both support the same version of ODF, they should be interoperable.

    • Hi. As the title suggests, I can't access the forum on my phone. I'm using Edge on Android and when I try to navigate to the forum I get a "we value your privacy" popup and none of the buttons are clickable. It effectively stonewalls me from reading any forum content.
