What's going to happen to the 13" MacBook Pros now (bought one a bit over month ago)? The new MacBook is just far better and you also save 200 euros... :/

Thinner, lighter, aluminum, backlit keyboard, firewire 800, SD card, 8GB ram support is what you get with that extra money.

i never said it does  I just am pointing out what real use is server edition on that hardware that you can't use standard OSX for... Kiosks? why do you need a server edition for Kiosk?

A lot of organisations that have a few mac's for various reasons will just buy a mac mini and dump server edition on it so they can manage the mac's properly instead of buying a full on xserve. This is the market that apple is targeting.

The new imac's are lovely, but it bugs the heck out of me how Apple continue to ignore blu-ray because of the whole poor "bag of hurt" excuse. When every other PC company has the option somewhere, it makes them look stupid.

and why haven't they learnt from the glossy drama with the macbook pro's? They were forced to eventually offer a matte option on them, so it's annoying to see them insist on it with the standard macbooks again

I don't know why you people say it looks uncomfortable. How many of you have studied industrial design. The slim curvature seems to adapt perfectly to the curvature in your palm, a curvature that is not exaggerated by an unnecessary thickness in the device.

It looks uncomfortable because i don't think you can rest your palm on it.. Correct?

But you can, this design is not new. Other companies, like Iomega or Logitech have tried this design with great results.

Judging by every previus mac mouse, I don't really think the apple designers and engineers have even heard about industrial design.

Edit: What would be the fastest? Order online or wait for the local store? (Ottawa)

Order online would take around 2 to 5 days, while the store could either get the stock tomorrow or in a week. It's a gamble.

Maybe it's a new team? :p

Anyway, as with anything, we cant judge an actual product by the faults of an old one.

I was going to wait for the store but then I noticed that the canadian store has a mistake....the upgrade for the video card is free :) *HINT HINT to the canadians* So I already ordered with the video card upgrade :)

Love the new MacBook design and the mouse looks super sexy and I like the multitouch stuff but I agree it doesn't look very comfortable. Looks like your hand is going to hurt after some hours of use but I don't know I haven't use it yet.

wander why didn't they opt for 5850 instead of 4850

shortage maybe

and their Ci7s are nothing more then "lyenfield "

lastly thought i would find SSD as an option but none

that tell you something about "performance"

Here's a link to the new 27" imac :) http://www.apple.com/imac/design.html

there's also the new mini http://www.apple.com/macmini/

and macbook http://www.apple.com/macbook/

and the new mouse http://www.apple.com/magicmouse/

Although they look great, I would wait a while. The first generation are the ones with the bugs and problems. They don't really get sorted out until after the second generation. I am sure they are going to have their issues.

Just got an applecare for imac on ebay for $70 ;)

    • Brave Browser 1.91.178 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. Brave Browser 1.91.178 changelog: Fixed certain extensions not working as expected. (#56271) Fixed inability to use Brave Sync in certain cases. (#55203) Upgraded Chromium to 149.0.7827.196.
